Beautiful! You really figured out how the song should be done. I've always thought the arrangement of the recorded version was too slow and heavy. You lightened it up but maintained the song's poignancy. I also agree with the assessment that you sound like what I imagine a young Joni Mitchell would've sounded like singing a Laura song. Too bad they didn't record each other's songs. It seems they admired each other from afar but remained somewhat wary of each other.

ive been crying over laura nyro all night tonite,repeating the 3 or 4 videos that are out here.i fell in love with that girl when i was a just a kid... and seeing these videos just brought it all back up..clicked u on,and i must say that your rendition was superb...it kept my tears coming and augmented my catharsis. lady...u have the gift of embodying a song,tellin' the story man...that's where it's at kid...good luck.
