  • how do u get the malstom to play the sound u just made because it doesnt work for me

  • this almost sounds like the bodyrox yeah yeah synth

  • do u have any idea how jack beats achieved that deep raw sound the low-pitched oscillator makes between some of the transitions of the notes? that's like the most dopest sound ever

  • Beast!

  • if you don't already have one it would be awesome if you made a tutorial on how you make your kicks and snare sound so good

  • what the name of this program ?!

  • you sound like the guy that makes the masks in mrs doubtfire.

  • @5:20 there is a NN - XT file called TRANCEMEGABASS. What's that all about huh? I didn't know you made trance songs!

  • dude ur wocked an i would hella love to come to ur shows , u helped me out a great deal

  • how do i get a mp3 from the .ms?

  • really dude? sick vids. your dope....but i mean, should really think about making your refills free...we re in a recession.

  • atzenmusik - discopogo

  • i actualy want to make the actual song remix so id apreciate the notes :# please

  • dude. this is exactly what I was looking for. you know how to throw together an amazing tutorial, and some damn tasty beats while you're at it.

    peace n chickin grease

  • yo sick stuff, but wot tempo is this? i can't get the original, it seems to be 128 for one section, 130 for the next etc, I've been a DJ for a very long time but I don't have a copy so I'mnot sure wot's going on? cheers...

  • Hell yeah man. You hit that lead right on.

  • 808 DRUM MACHINE :)

  • Dope!!

  • too much talk

  • How to get this sound with other sequencers/synths:

    - can be done with all kinds of subtractive Synthesizers

    - just layer two different oscillators.

    * 1st Osc: Waveform: Saw , Finetuning + 8%, Octave 0, Semitones 0

    * 2nd Osc: Waveform: Saw, Finetuning - 8%, Octave +2, Semitones +7

    - for the 1st Osc set up a Lowpass Filtertype with 0% Resonance and about 80% Cutoff (nearly fully opened)

    - clip the 1st Osc's Signal with a Waveshaper

    - EQ

Thank you luckydate for your inspiration!

  • can you make a tutorial on how to make the "infinity 2008" lead, so cool!

  • Amazingg.

  • Thanks, man.

  • Damn fuck this sounds so good unlike the crap i'm doing at the moment

  • You are cool man... Cool stuff... BUT get better DRUM BASS KICK... drums stink :) ... RESPECT

  • hi- great videos. i know you can connect midi keyboards to reason- what about guitars? i can play guitar better than piano so is it possible? ive seen things saying to use audacity and import that into reason but can't i use the record function? also some people say if you put the guitar into a mic input it wont sound good? anyone have any ideas?

  • you need a DI box, direct input box, which basically connect the guitar to the computer

  • Ztar .. the best guitar input for a pc (uses midi input), but there alot of money unfortunately :\

  • @destroythemap66

You cant record the guitar in reason. Cubase is the best programm to record it i think. then u can make a wav file and import it in Reason (NNXT or Redrum)

  • COOL VIDEO!!!!

  • I think it's actually pronounced "puh lif a'ny" not "poly fony" lol. Nice vid though.

  • @sonnybrown WHO CARES WE KNOW WHAT HES ON ABOUT!!! JOBSWORTH

  • You're an idiot. And stop yelling on the internet.

  • good looking out, thatciggaweed

  • @thatciggaweed mate, its just house music with some dubstep/electro influences, why the hate?

It's just a good song, leave it be.

  • @l33p33

this is fidget house music, and the comment had nothing to do with the actual video, it wasdericted at somone advertising a DIRE dubstep channel on here saying somthing along the lines off " if you like dubstep..... bla bla bla"

  • @thatciggaweed

hahaha... 'fidget house' has long been dead, get over it.

  • @thatciggaweed I also didn't say anything about your comment about the channe, I was talking solely about the tune.

just let it go, I love jack beats they owned 2009, but its 2010 now, come on, leave it be.

  • @l33p33 , what the fuck are you talking about? I LIKE THIS SONG or i wouldent be on the video would i, and wtf do u meen jack beats owned 2009 but its 2010 now? jack beats are still kickin out some fat tunes, unless ur soley interested in what everyone else is talking about? in which case be my guest and have an ill informed argument with me about a FIDGET HOUSE track, do me a favour mate, learn a thing or two about music, dont be such a fag, and dont be a fucking sheep bruv, ite?

  • tnx mAn!! =))

  • Sounds good but the tone is a little off track xP

  • I LOVE THIS SYNTH!!! do you have any tips on the notes your using?? like a screen shot or something just to get an idea, and are u using any kinda of pitch bend or is it just portamento

  • sick

  • How do you play it? like at 5:23 ?

    I'm new, sorry.

  • apple mac computers are the way forward man :)

  • No computers are moving forward

apple's have lots of little faults

windows has a little huge faults

    everything is fucking seriously flawed

and im sick of people choosing and saying apple's are better than pc's and window's is better than Mac and so on.

  • @EddieTLawson agreed. But it all depends on someone's preference of a workstation. I personally would have a computer for general shit and i'd use a Mac as a work station for writing. mainly because i like the feel and layout of the mac, also the OS uses less CPU so i can push how much i have playing at once more! :)

  • @EddieTLawson Linux! :)

  • ryan9952: not everyone can afford a mac, and owning one doesnt mean you will make awesome music. dont get a boner just cause you've bought a mac. Sure they may be more stable, but as eddieTLawson said "everything is fucking seriously flawed"

  • im not bothered if you cant afford one really and of course a mac just doesnt make music for you it takes talent and knowing how to use the music program like this guy, you tit. Apple macs are unifected by viruses and are much quicker etc then a normal computer which is why im saying there the way forward...

  • hahaha agreed nigga i support you fuck people's thumb downs

  • why is that?

  • this is perfect

  • Someone please make this on Massive or Albino!!

  • fuck off.

  • Thanks you have made it so much more fun for me to make tunes! excellent tutorials!!

  • Thanks man, all your vids are extremely helpful. Probably the best reason tuts on youtube. Awesome

  • mate another great tutorial

  • good work bro, that remix is godly - definitely one of their best!

  • sick :)

  • think i jizzed!

im starting on reason 4, anyway i can use .mp3 for my vocals?

  • mp3 wont work, just switch em to WAV and they will work in redrum

  • ah right, any program you sugest to convert the mp3s?

    thanks alot

  • I use itunes

  • How do you convert in iTunes!?...o.O

  • Thanks alot mate =]

  • @luckydatevideos red rum

  • @luckydatevideos story man how do u convert itunes?? plz an nice1 :)

  • @luckydatevideos or you can initilise the patch on an nnxt and use the programmer lots more options that way......

  • @luckydatevideos Audacity.

  • WOOOO I CAN'T WAIT FOR FUTURE VIDS!!!!

  • i love you :')

  • terrific stuff, top notch as always LD!

  • mate seriously your videos are sweet! im using logic but i can sort of adapt the basic idea! keep up your excellent work and good luck with the finals ;)

    peace

  • I'm glad to hear it's working for logic as well!!

  • @valtechtronic1 you can rewire reason to logic.. which is what i do... i use the reason synths then eq and add effects on logic to polish it off xD

  • sweettttttt !!!!

  • Smashing,as usual :)

  • another great video :)

iv noticed youve made alot of tutorials on basslines and synths, which is great because without you i wouldnt have had a clue!

But im wondering if there is any way to make your own custom drum beats/kicks...because all the standard ones i find just arnt strong enough! (hopefully that made some sence to you lol)

Also...on your MIA remix (paper planes) how did you get the vocals on? did you put the whole song on reason then edit it?

Sorry for being a pain lol.

    Thanks.

  • try processing your drums

a little compression and dare i say overdrive can sometimes do the trick

  • Nice vid. I find it strange that the envelope controlled synth in reason doesn't have a high pass mode. I just wish they'd implement VST support to reason.

  • I agree, there is a highpass effect you can add though

  • First view. That is all :}
