Yeah but that's not right is it.

He doesn't just play those two notes with the right hands.

Listen to ti more carefully, there are more chords! Especially in the bit with the vocal line starting 'reeds drifting on by'' he adds an extra higher note.

I will try and find a tutorial that has them, and if not, i'll spend a while working it out and let you all know.

hey I just started playing the piano and my left hand is shit. I mean I know where to put the fingers and how, but the problem is that they're short to do this song, so that when I put both on different keys, one of them presses the nearest key. I don't know if I explain myself good enough but... do you think I could correct that by practising? or is it just my fingers, and I can't help it????? good tut btw!!

@kirbygirl49 Duly noted though I do teach music for a living and my teaching technique has never and will never change. The beat IS important in any song and especially as it's in 6/8, it needs to be explained so the more amateur learners out there have a better understanding of the rhythm and how to put a more dynamic flow onto the progression.

I play Feeling Good as well, and I think your chord structure is a little off, its not just G and Bb for the whole song. In fact, I'm pretty sure its only those two for the intro.

My advice, listen to the song as you play, and you will hear the D below G, giving you a Gm chord. This changes too, after the second bass melody descent, Bb turns into A and G turns into Gb. If you watch Matt play it live, the chord structure also changes when the descent extends longer, but I'm out of characters!!!

It's better to have 2 views of a great tutorial than 50,000 of something wrong. However, I must say that you are excellent at explaining how to play piano. 99% of youtube tutorials are wrong, or correct but explained badly. Please upload yourself teaching the correct version and explain to the standard here and it will be the perfect tutorial.

Watch out for those books, they are full of typos. Best way to learn is to have the book in front of you, and then pay close attention to the audio. For example, Space Dementia's first lyrics are H-8! In the book, it is "Hate"

@lilposa96 How strange, I had to play this for a gig at college a few years ago.

Umm.. With small hands, the best thing I can suggest you to do is to use one finger octaves. Don't attempt to hit the note and it's octave, just hit the singular note. It won't sound as dynamic, but the basic structure is there. If you have a bassist at the gig, he should be able to fill in the rest of the structure perfectly.

Hope the information I gave was helpful in someway or another!

It's just a run down using pretty much the same chords. Just listen to it and piece the chords together. It's the key of G minor, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Not really. Aslong as you have more than two octaves, just play the correct notes.

My digital piano is an Ashton Stage Performer. Looking at the keyboard you have on your youtube, you could easily play it using that.
