Nie wiem dlaczego nie potrafil zaspiewac latwiejszej zwrotki a ten niebywale trodny refren zaspiewal calkiem dobrze. Spiewa to o wiele gorzej niz wczesniej i pozniej. Nawet nie sprobowal zaspiewac tego wysokiego "high" na koncu drugiego refrenu. To pierwszy kawalek na tym koncercie, wiec nie jest rozspiewany ale to go nie usprawiedliwia z tego chyba najgorszego wykonania Aces High w historii.

@TrueIronMaidenFan I don't believe that. I didn't see maiden live until about 10 years ago but he at least gives the songs a serviceable job now and back then. Please send me a video clip or something where Bruce performs this song properly. Doesn't have to be perfect but at least close to the studio version...cause I can tell you the rest of maiden are damn near perfect.

He has struggled with Aces high in the past because he has been extremely over used on tour and partly damaged his voice. Just look at how much better his voice got when he quit maiden. Now that he has rejoined, obviously he has lost a bit of his pitch so it's not quite perfect. but still pretty damn good if i do say so myself.

Not at all. You can tell he's really struggling to hit the notes. Part of the problem is that he supposedly never warmed up during the 1980's, so he didn't get into a comfort zone until later in the gigs.

i am as big of a fan of Iron Maiden and the biggest Bruce Dickinson fan in the world but i got to say, this is not his best performancfe! if you want to here some of his amazing live vocals then watch recent versions of the song(Flight 666, Porto Alegre 2008)
Bruce is a much better singer today, than in the 80s. Just compare the live versions of Run To The Hills from the 80s, to the more recent versions. Back then, he would "cheat" the chorus notes (wouldn't go for the high notes). On all the recent versions I've seen, he sings the whole chorus like the studio version (all the higher notes)!
Bruce's voice is really a bit "damaged" here. I think this is one of the first concerts of the World Slavery Tour in 1984. I love it when he screams "RUUUUN" here in this version.

Bruce's voice was ruined from the constant touring at this time. Listen to the first recordings of 1981 / 82. He sounded fresh and very good. The made album tour album tour album tour.... very heavy for a human voice i think.
The whole thing about bruce's voice is simple.. he is a MUCH better singer now, and his vocal range and power has actually become better over the years rather than worse.. Listen to stuff from the 82-87 tours.. Run to the hills, this, caught somewhere in time.. Then listen to Aces High from 1999 or 2008 and run to the hills from 2001-present.. he hits the high notes now. He's become BETTER.

Iron Maiden is a GREAT band, they play nearly to perfection live, the only thing that isn't perfect is Bruce. Some songs he sings perfect, and some songs he just sings poorly. End of Story. I've got the Live After Death vhs. First song aces high he stinks up. Rest of the concert he's pretty good. All I was talking about it is ACES HIGH.

@colinreilly Im not entering into your arguement at all. I agree with some of your points, but not all. Bruce in deffinatley not overated. He has struggled with Aces high in the past because he has been extremely over used on tour and partly damaged his voice. Just look at how much better his voice got when he quit maiden. Now that he has rejoined, obviously he has lost a bit of his pitch so it's not quite perfect. but still pretty damn good if i do say so myself.

Not at all. You can tell he's really struggling to hit the notes. Part of the problem is that he supposedly never warmed up during the 1980's, so he didn't get into a comfort zone until later in the gigs.

Bruce is a much better singer today, than in the 80s. Just compare the live versions of Run To The Hills from the 80s, to the more recent versions. Back then, he would "cheat" the chorus notes (wouldn't go for the high notes). On all the recent versions I've seen, he sings the whole chorus like the studio version (all the higher notes)!

On na tym koncercie rozrzucil troche tych pałeczek - prawie po kazdym kawalku dwie, na do widzenia taka paczke ze 20 sztuk nieuzywanych, prosto z pudelka. Moja jest zdrowo poobijana, chociaz gral na niej tylko pierwszy kawałek... I o ile pamiętam - to w Łodzi naglosnienie bylo OK, to wtedy naprawde robilo wrazenie. Inna sprawa, ze porownanie to w 84 mielismy nieduze a Hala Sportowa akustycznie to byl kontener. Ale wyboru nie bylo - nie miala konkurencji...

Bruce's voice was ruined from the constant touring at this time. Listen to the first recordings of 1981 / 82. He sounded fresh and very good. The made album tour album tour album tour.... very heavy for a human voice i think.

The whole thing about bruce's voice is simple.. he is a MUCH better singer now, and his vocal range and power has actually become better over the years rather than worse.. Listen to stuff from the 82-87 tours.. Run to the hills, this, caught somewhere in time.. Then listen to Aces High from 1999 or 2008 and run to the hills from 2001-present.. he hits the high notes now. He's become BETTER.
