  • C 47 is a clothespin and a c74 is an inverted clothespin for stronger grip

  • hey man, You forgot about the aluminium gaffer tape ( I dont know the right term in english)

But anyway it's a cool tutorial

  • 2 Minute Film School. 2 Minutes Filler.

  • Was that chicago in the background when he was explaining outside lighting.

  • @searching4knowledge STALKER!!!! JK

  • cool one

  • What is gel for lighting like? You didn't show it to us!

  • He showed you what a gel looks like at the end of the video. This guy attached it to the light. But i've seen gaffers use it on big picture windows to soften the outside light on an interior shot.

  • a good cheap gel would be cellophane paper...

  • Why is he shouting? You know the Mic can pic up the sound so you can speak normally right.

  • wtf! C-47s!?

  • Yup.

  • He is very funny in a very good way... =D

  • do it YO DAMN SELF!

  • I didn't learn sh*t! Come get me!

  • I had to wikki gobo and cucoloris - gobo is a metal light stencil, and cucoloris is a patterned sheet that casts patterned shadows. the glass breahing effect when you tossed the gloves was a nice touch :)

  • hey what iipe of lighting should i youse in my films are all of them just like super expensive or are there some that i can get cheeo that will have the same affect on my videos or is it my camera that is genorating the problem?

  • she looks like she feels awkward like she lost a bet and had to be in the video.

  • im scared to be murdered

  • pretty easy actually!

  • I hope you learnd something else I will murder you and your entire family.. good day

  • hey toastmaru just record the audio of the entire conversation and then just lip sinc it while your changing cuts

  • Hey Indy Mogul, What do you suggest the best camcorder is, around $400, at most $700.

  • AndrewXAnarchy, I know I'm not IndyMogul, but I think the best camera you can get for around $700 is a used HV20. Brand new, they run around $1000, but you could get a used one for around your price range. Otherwise, just shoot for a camera with a mic input, headphone input, and decent/good camera quality. Hope that helped.

  • and the audio doesn't sound werid like it cuts off or is louder when it changes angle

  • i was wanting to know if you could show, where like in a movie where it shows different angles of your actors while talking

  • lol

  • Oh my god I'm famous! Haha thanks for using my tip IM, your awesome!

Oh, and thanks for the 3D glasses =)

  • 4 minute film school more like 4:36 minute film school

  • They cut to a commercial they dont count the commercial so therefore its 4 min film school.

  • re shooting outside with an overexposed sky/underexposed subject: you can use a graduated grey filter. It goes in front of the camera lens. It's clear at the bottom and gradually gets darker toward the top. It's used to darken the sky while leaving the ground unchanged. That way, you can get correct exposure for both the sky and your subject. They come in different shades. You use different shades depending on the time of day.

  • Hey guys....

Your forgot the safety tip about using the right gauge extention cord for your lights, based on the distance from your power source to the light and back. They're not cheap as some are pretty big, but starting an eletrical fire is well far more dangerous and costly.

Wonder if you guys are going to cover all the neat tools that make balancing color and brightness soon?

  • Angie is so funny)))

  • She didn't even do anything remotely funny.

  • yep, but she looked funny and she smiled funny she was thinking like "OMG what I'm doing here. Who's that guy with potato salad in back pockets"

  • I'm liking steve more and more.... watch out eric.

SOON YOU WILL BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL

..I mean.. ni..nice episode Steve. but I have just ONE question.

What are the "CHINA BALLS" used for?

Maybe I missed an episode along the way.. but I think I'd remember seeing an episode on this one...

  • The chinese lanterns are used for diffusing the light.

  • Thanks man. I thought so.. but they seem really.. framable. Do you know the safest/highest wattage that might be used in a china ball? I don't want to learn from mistakes.. seeing as, I'm not fireproof..

  • Well they are made out of paper, but that's okay. The trick to them is use flourecent bulbs. They don't create as much heat as regular bulbs. So there is less chance of them catching fire. Get the bulb in the center of the lantern as much as possible. You should be safe then.

  • Excellent as usual- just one minor improvement for next time..Too many clothes, especially on Angie- ( dont shoot the messenger- just passing on what the crowd really think!)

  • This isn't Indy Porno dude. Besides, the fan base of Indy Mogul consists of mostly kids.
