I'm not actually that sure. But what I think it may mean is when it says " She stands hard as a stone." I think that the boy that she was with ( If you watched the music video ) was an angel. I think what hard as a stone means is that she was lead to Christ from that boy. And even though her mother abuses her and yells at her she still stands strong in God. That's what I think it may mean anyway. But you idea might be right.
