If you know so much about diabetes then you would know that you can have diabetes in different severities, depending on the control you have, which then dictates what you eat. So I think you need to go and think a bit more before passing judgments.

Fuck everyone saying things against diabetes, you don't know what it's like to have diabetes, I'm diabetic and I have a friend who's been diabetic since she was 6 months old-she's never had ice cream. also, this song doesn't necessarily have to be about diabetes, he's said himself that it can be about anyone going through a hard time. this song has helped me through my worst times, because i know that in a little bit longer, i'll be fine.

yup, because this song is supposed to be about hope, and raising awareness for diabetes. i never cared about diabetes before he told his story and now i DO donate to JDRF. A LOT.

I honestly love people voicing their opinions, but i will delete any hate comments towards nick, because he deserves no hate for trying to raise awareness.

This song is truly amazing! Nick poured his heart and soul into A Little Bit Longer and it shows! A Little Bit Longer makes me cry because it reminds me of my best friend's grandma who has diabetes. I understand all of the difficulties of Diabetes and i truly admire Nick for writing this beautiful song! Nick, you are such an inspiration to everyone!! I don't care whether he has diabetes or not:

a) all his fans seem to be incapable of spelling and grammar, like "your" instead of "you're", and (my personal favourite)"wut" instead of what. I have a theory that for every letter lost like this, there is another south carolina pageant emulation.

b)He's thick. on recieving the news he had (mild) diabetes, he asked what that was, and asked if he was going to die soon in the hands of one of the best healthcare systems in the world.
