the Artie saga is so much different than the 'jackie' years. Arties came in as a bigger star. Jackie woulda imploded too. But Jackie never made it past Stern. There's no denying that he is a funny comedian, but I don't feel bad for him. I've heard him on this show too many times in a situation where he just refuses to listen to what others have to say. He let his emotional issues take control, and he made a stupid stupid decision. I feel no sympathy for people who take their own life or even attempt it....

Artie also has clinical depression, not the kind the therapist convinces you you have so she can sell you drugs she gets a bonus for but the real kind of dark depression. he also used heroin its not the kinda drug you do on occasion and it can really damage your mind. i hope artie recovers, the suicide wasn't a cry for help he wanted out.

His publisher told him that if it comes out in 2011 it probably won't sell a quarter of the copies the first one did. the Artie saga is so much different than the 'jackie' years. Arties came in as a bigger star. Jackie woulda imploded too. But Jackie never made it past Stern. Artie was already a star then he landed on Stern. That's the difference and that's why Artie gets more leeway, in my opinion. And that's why it's interesting to me. Jakie was cool because he was local and he fit in well.
