Dude a much better run- Go up Highway 178 Towards Rocky Bottom. The run is epic long, smooth, and full of perfect banked runs. From highway eleven, the bottom of a the run is about 4 miles down the road ( ass soon as you begin going uphill it begins and continues for a couple miles. You could start somewhere near Horespasture road (gravel) which is an access point to the fothills trail. I haven't done the run, but I've been thrashin for about 7 years and I can tell you that this run is EPIC
Great video. Woot, East coast! I relatively new to downhill skateboarding, and was wondering what kind of full face helmet do most of you use? And is ebay a good place to buy leathers?
that's pretty accurate - this was a 2-mile "warmup" run with a few mellow corners and top speeds in the mid 40s; the next three days we hit much more technical courses; still working on those videos.
hey do you think i would be safe or get wobble on blue ridge on a flex 2 dervish with chargers and lime bigzigs. i have a khiro barrel bushing kit with duros from 73a bushings to 101. which ones would be best for downhill or should i just buy bear grizzlies
thanks alot -- you're right: west coast has bigger hills but we're also finding some nice runs here too; plus, that video was just the teaser warmup run. more footage to come from the "real" hills.
thanks, to each his own... in my opinion, any speed above 30mph warrants a body suit if you don't enjoy road rash. they were skating this hill clocked at 42mph on GPS. when dane hit the pothole and got pitched off his deck, he gouged the front of his full-face helmet which would've meant a shattered chinbone and surgery if he had impacted at that speed; instead, he hopped right back on his deck. I personally recommend leathers and full-face at these speeds.
Wow...can't believe Dane did not get hurt.....I tell you (as his Mom) he has been through some tough stuff and always comes out flying high......someone is watching over him.....Thanks.....from Florida
where do you buy those suits

cool video! Big Hill Rd. is off the hook. Check out a video called: High Rollin'. It has similar footage but features more spots in Boone.

chutimnspitimout 4 years ago
yeah, i think it's a shorter-wheelbase version of the S9 Bomb Hills. not sure of the details tho...
pavementstudios 4 years ago
ooo cooolll can you get details for me? cause i am obessed with top mount speedboards now and sector nine is the only main company here
chutimnspitimout 4 years ago
where can i get them? since i hit 50+ mph all the time and currently have a sprained wrist and lots of road rash. hahaha

sweet hill and ride but that's not fast enough to necessitate a body suit
