First time I saw it was on the VHS for the episode "Final Judgment"... This music video was at the end... I kept getting my parents to rent the video just so I could watch it — over and OVER!!

They wanted to do a tribute to anime, and CCS fit the bill perfectly; it was everything except the Gundams. You're right; it has nothing to do with Card Captor Sakura per se, but rather what the producers felt would be a good tribute to anime in general. (At least, that's what I think.)
