I was listening to this again and for some reason West Coast Pop Lock sounded more familiar than just California Love. Then it hit me. That part where the voice says, "now wait a minute" was sampled at the end of the second chorus in the song "Homie Don't Play That" by the Geto Boys off of the "We Can't Be Stopped" album.
