hei kuya -- i just learned here in abroad how to cook egg properly... Boiled water first then put eggs on it and wait for 11 minutes , kc po kapg naover cooked ang eggs at nagkaroon ng gray color ung yellow part ibig sabihin maaring mapoison po ang kakain nito so be careful s pagluluto ng egg... just sharing lang po...itrytry ko po magluto ng adobo style ninyo ,,it looks good hmmm... nagugutom tuloy ako..
Ive seen other recipies where they use ginger and brown sugar and let it marinade for a couple of hours. Ive made it with the ginger and brown sugar, it was delicious. Im going to the phillipines in febuary. and cant wait to try these dishes done the way the locals do it. I want to cook these dishes the traditional way as possiable am I doing the right thing by adding ginger?
@TheOnebigmick im a local and yes we put a little sugar to thicken the sauce and balance the saltiness from the soysauce. and i add pineapple chunks when its almost cooked. i also add onions hehe when sauteing. ginger?ahmm not a big fan of ginger, maybe just a little to take out the "fishiness" or lansa of the chicken.
My mom makes adobo all the time. I like to fry it after she's done cooking. What can i say? The outside is crispy and chewy and the inside is melty and full of adobo goodness! I dont even need sauce :)
Thanks for the recipe, I;m hispanic but not at all affraid of cooking different foods, love this recipe in particular. I don't speak tagalog, but I kinda deducted what to do.
finally i know na how to cook adobong manok ang saya ko kasi nabusog ang fiance ko ngaung gbi.palagi kc na cnasabi na gsto nyang tumikim ng adobong manok and diko alam pano lutuin pero ngaun lam kona...shukran!!
@808foodlover hahaha... i know it seems weird, but this recipe is actually a version from northern luzon (either ilocos or pampanga). potatoes and eggs are very delicious with this recipe, but I would use quail eggs instead of chicken eggs.
yes you can add a little amount of water and soy sauce, too...but just be careful, you don't want the soy sauce to take over the flavor seasoned by the Mama Sita Mix...good luck!!!
NUM NUMM NUMMMMM <3 Making it for dinner.
