First Tiger Army song I listen to. Was on the bus sitting behind the girl I liked and was looking for new bands, thinking about ones she might like. Played this but found out later she didn't like TA... later, a made a new friend who loved TA and I was able to talk to her about them :) Now she's my GF and we it couldn't be better. Plus, a few weeks ago, I got Music from Regions Beyond at a flea market for $1. We just sit around and listen to it and talk :) we'll always love TA.

Blues has 3 chords to the entire genre. But there have been thousands of blues musicians each with their own approach to those 3 chords, and they have all been vastly different from one another. The possibilities of blues are endless, but it is still the blues. Same goes for Rockabilly

Cellos are tuned in 5ths (starting at C2), while the bass is tuned in 4ths, much lower (Starting at E1) as is the electric bass guitar.

The bass is actually a hybrid instrument, not entirely of the violin family, unlike the cello.

They are very distinct instruments, you cannot play most bass parts on a cello, and the lines you can are not directly transferable (they will have different fingering).

um yeah...i've played the cello for almost 20 years, and i also work in music...cello and bass are not the same instrument, but they do have the same note progression, so if you play the cello it's very easy to play the bass, especially the bass guitar. That's probably where the confusion came from.
