Jeez, was it necessary to hold the accelerator down while the engine it is hitting the rev limiter the whole time? For those saying the Durango has crappy trans, I say that any rig will do this with that kind of abuse. Also, the V8 Durangos have a modified overdrive 727 tranny which is a well proven transmission used behind Mopars' strongest motors in the 60's and 70's.

You shouldn't have been just going all out on the throttle. When you get stuck "pulsing" the throttle works better. I did better in my Durango off road. When I was high. With 4 people. And I'm 17.

@lennyjay83 actually it would have happened in your foreign junker too, the limited slip pig (traction control) is why he's stuck. It puts all the power to the wheels with the least traction, so the wheels that are deeper in the mud won't spin, and the one's out of the mud will, it's the same in all mass manufactured cars now-a-days.
