at last! i have found the cult of martha davis...those damned vocals of hers...so creamy and evocative...i love, love, love martha davis...and this song...please, one of my favorite of all time...yeah, 1985 was bittersweet for me as well...more bitter than sweet...a helluva lot more...but listening to martha davis in my lonely room made it just a little bit better. this woman can do no wrong in my eyes...i also love her version of take my breath away...simply haunting...hypnotic...

@rogerson61 lol...the sweet beats the bitter now about 2 tablespoonfuls. although i still listen to martha and the motels at least once a week and i'm still a fool for suddenly, last summer. suddenly, last summer evokes the movie for me which featured elizabeth taylor and montgomery clift. i wish montgomery clift had been able to listen to martha davis and the motels. perhaps his life would have been a little less lonely too.

Let's face it people. The '80's had it. Great bands, awesome songwriters, talented performers that could back their talent up. These great songs are timeless like this one from the Motels. There will never be music like this again. The videos were far , far, better than anything out there today. You had FUN listening and watching music videos then. Long live '80's music.
