Up here, hunting with dogs is only illegal on big game like deer and moose. I think Coyotes and wolves are listed under that, too. However, there's a free hunt (Ie: No license needed and no season) on squirrels and rabbits. You can use dogs on them. More than likely there's a similar legislation in many states in the USA.
