Pet stores that sell puppies and kittens and other live animals do not care about these animals. All they care about is making their wallets fatter They contribute to puppy mills. Dogs and cats at these mills are forced to breed their entire lives while living in cages with no love and care. These puppy mills sell puppies to brokers and brokers sell to pet stores. The dogs and cat at these torture mills never experience love and companionship. Puppy mills are evil and need to be shut down.
wow this is pathetic, I bought my dog from bark works about a year ago, even went to the free vet visit. everything has fine. All it needed was a Rabies shot. They keep the pups up to date on shots until they are sold. They got a vet that checks the pups every week. it`s to bad that there are people that don`t support puppy sales. these dogs need homes to!! they can`t live in them little kennels forever!!!
Your comment is ridiculous. These dogs need homes ONLY BECAUSE THEY WERE BRED SO SOMEONE CAN MAKE MONEY. There are millions of dogs, purebred and mutts, in shelters across the country that desperately need homes. When you buy or breed, you are contributing to the death of healthy, loving pets.

shut the hell up, you`re bout as useful as a dingle berry. I`m saying it`s a personal choice, people have the right to breed dogs to make a living. I can assure you that all of Barkworks dogs are very healthy and up to date with vaccinations. Your Just against people buying dogs instead of adopting. the shelters put down 13-14 million dogs yearly,it`s not my fault people would rather buy them then adopt. So take your useless information somewhere els, please....
No that's not the truth. You get a free visit to that specific vet, because he is the one who checks all the puppies before they are put out to be sold. If anything is wrong, health wise, with the puppy you can bring it back and return it. And if the dog is returned, then there will be a deduction from the sell-persons paycheck.
You can take it to any vet you want, but if you take it for the free vet visit and if something is wrong, you get free meds for the puppy.
This is true however... why should an employee be penalized for an ill puppy? AND why would you take a puppy to their vet... you don't know if they are paying them off...
I'd really like to know what evidence exists that barkworks harbors puppy mill puppies. I'm not disagreeing with you, I'd just like to know where you are getting that evidence.
I think it's funny that with this statement you stating that you have no facts that barkworks puppies are from puppy mills. I believe it is important to adopt, however, you have to keep in mind the condition the dogs from shelters are in & never knowing what their true medical history is. My dog and 3 cats are shelter animals, & unfortunately down the line they all have serious medical issues that are hereditary that no one could of told us since their breeds cannot be determined.
Puppy Mills are different from AKC show breeders in a number of ways. Responsible breeders do planned breedings in order to maintain or improve the quality of the breed. They have a devotion to breeding out genetic problems such as epilepsy, rage syndrome, and glaucoma. The only planning a puppy mill does is breed a female as much as they can until she can no longer reproduce and make money! A show breeder usually loses money every time they breed, because they invest so much in their puppies.

I think the point is to adopt animals in need instead of paying money into the animal exploitation industries.
We really need to pay attention to ALL forms of animal exploitation. Good job guys! Someday we will get all the animal prisons shut down.

And if you boycott good stores like Barkworks then you should boycott the breeders from the AKC dog champion shows that breed their animals for sale.

You girls are great. Close all pet stores that sell puppy mill puppies. We've all had it with the greed and suffering for profit.
