  • I was eleven at the time. Will never forget it. That was the peak accomplishment in space to this date, hopefully not the last. I have little faith that such a leap is politically or financially doable in the near future, at least not by the USA.

  • HOW THE BLAZES HAS THIS ONLY 6,000 VIEWS???

  • This augments the original CBS coverage with film footage shot by the astronauts and from fixed cameras in the lunar module. There was no live video until just before Armstrong stepped on the surface.

  • Thumbs up if you were sent here through a related video on michael Jackson moonwalking

  • thank you for posting this... i cannot fathom how we strayed so far from our path of exploration. we were not meant to still be here.

  • @illmatic2600

You and I are kindred spirits. We belong as much in space as we belonged coming down from the trees.

  • I still get chills still hearing and see humans on the moon. We can accomplish anything. It is in our DNA to explore and we will go back there to the moon sooner than the public expects and that is just as exciting. Stop war and death it's a waste of energy.and explore the world and the universe.

  • I cannot believe I still get chills watching, not just the mind-boggling landing itself, but Walter Cronkite's sense of awe. One of the touchstones of mankind.

  • Amazing.

  • Nice, very very nice video. Thanks :)
