  • I own a Javalina and love it. After watching how you made it I love it even more.

  • I'm glad you like it so much. They are not custom knives but they are definitely hand made. Thanks for your support. Ray

  • Thank you very much. I am pleased that you would choose one of my knives to be your first top end knife. I do work on every knife from assembly through the finish but I do now have a couple of part time guys that make the handle blanks and guard blanks and other small things like that that saves me some time. I call it the grunt work. :<)

  • Awesome awesome knives Ray! I'm about to buy my first serious fix blade and it's going to be an Entrek Bravo! I love the look of your knives and your company philosophy. Does you yourself finish/make every Entrek knife?

  • I`ve got a Badger and it is one of the coolest small fixed blades i own ! Thank you Mr. Ennis for making such quality knives .

  • As always, my pleasure.

  • ...even my grandsons could also buy your great knives :)

  • Sir, you are truely a skilled knife maker! I own a Companion and I absolutely love it. I own many knives and the Companion is my favorite knife after my Bark River Bravo 1. I always knew Entreks are quality knives, but I had no idea they are pretty much all hand made. After watching all of your 6 videos, now I have much more appreciation for my Companion. Please keep up the awesome work and I genuinely wish for your Entrek Knives Company to stay in business for a long, long time, so my sons and

  • Thanks for the kind words. As you can see in the vids I am getting old (60 now) and who knows how long I will be able to continue, maybe 10 years? Wouldn't it be great if i could sell the company to someone that wouldn't destroy it and keep me on payroll while I trained in some knife makers that would keep the quality and tradition...doubt anything that good will ever happen. Like most makers no one will even know who i was 5 yrs after I die.

  • @entrekknives I wouldn't be so sure of that, sir. I do know that a lot of people out there are skeptics of, and hesitant to purchase Entrek knives. I believe that the 440C that you use on your knives, with the price tag, tend to turn people off. However, anyone who actually own or has owned your knives knows and understands how well your knives are made, and how well the 440C hold its edge. Most people think that 440C is an outdated steel, and since there are so many newer steels out there,

  • ...they would rather pay for the newer steel. Yet, what they don't understand is the importance of the heat-treat of alloys. I like some of the newer super steels also, but 440C with the right heat-treatment serves me just fine. I'd rather go with the lower grade steel with the heat-treat done well, than the higher grade steel with poor heat-treatment. Just keep doing what you're doing. People will catch on eventually. I believe in quality over quantity, and the power of the word of

  • ...mouth. I just really hope you will find someone to pass on your skills to, so that your knives could be enjoyed by many more people, for generations. Cheers!

  • @heettreet I would love to pass on some of the things I have learned but so far I have not found anyone that doesn't loose interest in just a little while. we will continue to look. Thanks Ray

  • @entrekknives i want to learn so badly! it's just a shame i live in Belgium :(

  • Hi there - Can I send you a few knives for reformatting? Cold Steel Trailmaster would like the top finger guard taken down and to have a full flat grind put on the Ontario SP8 Survival Machette Knife. Thanks!

  • @spiritartman yes I can do that I expect that it would cost around $75.00 plus return shipping. Ray

  • Great Videos Bro. I'm a Fan of Entrek.
