  • One good way to counter this would be to jump and kick your opponent in the face while airborne.

  • I did a similar sweep to this in a fight. But I combined it with a side step first against a charging opponent. He ran in, I side stepped, dropped low and completed the sweep, than I jumped up and landed on his back and choked him out. He was still falling flat on his face when I made the cat like leap onto his back. He broke his nose due to the fall. I'd say a jump would be the best way to avoid this attack, but it's the unexpectedness of the technique that gets them.

  • How would One counter or prevent this? Is it possible to do when one is standing in a guard on both legs? Such as muay thai?

  • @SomeMartialArtsGuy I guess you could predict it, and jump the leg or step back.

  • @SomeMartialArtsGuy getting out of the way is always the best way to prevent an attack
