Those random purple balls really ruin the enjoyment IMO.

I don't see the point in including them.

Would love to see a Sonic Heroes playthrough.

Seeing the Special stages makes me want to go through that game again.

@Canderson1989 I think the purple balls are meant to give players a chance to always keep the races exciting and fair by letting it be one by one. But as long as you can memorize their patterns I'm sure they are not that bad. That is if the placement is not random.
