  • This is not an acrobatic plane!!!! It´s normal.

If you like to fly an acrobatic.... then Buy a Low wing acrobatic, not a HIGH WING turism!!!

  • S.O.S. I lost my wings lol hahahhah!!!

  • I could have landed it with just the elevator and rudder.

  • Classic wing folding...over stressed. Will be flying mine w care after viewing this!

  • Scale or not its still foam, so there's not to much weight pull with those "Major G's" , Just a packing peanut with a engine. It should no have popped off like that.

  • Has the bird put away the wings ? Incredible !

  • i just bought the same plane to learn with, i gues no inverted loops?

  • Fuck... That's a scale plane, not 3D man....

  • lawn dart lmao

  • What happened ? I dont know...lmao. Cessna Skyrobatic or what .. honestly if u dont have the foggiest idea of RC ..better learn it in a Club. RC is dangerous, if you dont know about the risks..thx for listening

  • Got the same bird. To bad u was so unlucky with yours. Will be flying mine more gentle after this video. Thanks for sharing this bad experience with others c182 skywagon owners..

  • and todays news, a pilot lost his plane today as the g-force was too much for the wings,, good news though, the pilot did survive the crash, with only a bruised ego,,,, ouch???

  • This happens a lot because the skies are so narrow!!!!! LOL That sucks.

  • 2:34 LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL OWNT

  • thanks for this video !

  • The bad news is the insurance company has refused to replace your plane. The good news is your flying skills have progressed past the 'foam trainer' stage!! Lol

  • And thats not a high g plane you should know better than that

  • you not rebuilding that

  • Comment removed

  • Nice flying but! There is a defference between a "Sesna" and an "Extra"

  • plane did have a nice climeout on vertical

  • I just got the ARF Cessna 182. Can you tell me what motor you have in your plane please?

  • 15 metres to the plane's left and things would have got even more interesting...lucky boy.

  • its a trainer plane???? not a hotdog plane!!!! sorry

  • CARALHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • abit of glue and it will be fine :)

  • I guess the airshow was immediately canceled while the TSB investigates the cause of the crash?

  • got a lot of piles of styrofoam in my spare room due to pushing my jets and planes to the limit...and I still do it..LOL

  • too much power and not enough skill.

  • i think the high G turns and climb outs are the primary cause, i dont think you could even pull off some of those in a real 182, i have the art tec version which is around the same size but has a balsa construction and a large carbon rod in the centre with a smaller one at the trailing edge on the main wing, i think this is the bolt on wing type which is ok for mild aerobatics and scale flight. still the manufactures should pay more attention to build quality and stress points on rc aircraft.

  • 2:34 thumbs up if u can skip to crash if u came here because of that :P

  • where are the wing supporters

  • hahahahahahahaha

  • Ahh... ;(

  • lol forgot to pull up on takeoff

  • it's not a pattern plane...... :(

  • ahh, shit happens so what? rebuilt and fly again. try to make better wings

  • Agh he'll no

  • great video, the dramatic music at the end while showing a replay of the wing separating from the plane was a nice touch

  • you should have expected that, way too much wing load. Go buy an aerobatic plane if you wanna fly like this.

  • sorry but this is not 3d plane..its so normal that u lost ur wing...

  • ''Took him out with a heat seeker''

  • @ian8354 lol, Is that your final answer?

  • have you called the NTSB? that's a serious crash man...

  • @stefan3721 lol, good one stefan

  • wich brand and model is it? how much wingspan? weight?

  • @ScruffyITA That rc plane was purchased from Nitroplanes 2 years ago. The model is under the AIRFIELD brand, but they no longer have it in the same color scheme. There's a 4 channel and an upgraded 5 channel model with flaps and lights. That was the 4 channel model.

    Wingspan: 55"

    Flying weight: 1100g

    Wing Loading: 34g/dm

    Outrunner Motor (800kv)

  • That SUCKS I'd be very unhappy if that happened to me because I wouldn't have money readily available to replace it

  • good job G force !!!

  • 2:34 FOR CRASH

  • :) its not a 3D plane but at least it was not a stupid crash :)

  • heres a tip dont fly it at full power all the time

  • Its good that without wing ,fuselage didnt go like a roket to someone, car, or someones kitchen

  • Nice plane, had the same thing happen to me, unfortunately what happens when you push a scale plane to far, I stopped flying around a lot of people and cars after it happened to me, you just never know...

  • anything has a limitation that airplane is not intended for aerobatic

  • RIP

  • this happened to my $900 nitro plane on its first flight

  • your a good flyer but that kind of stuff happens to the best of us

  • Flying between houses is really stupid...you could kill someone. You have been very lucky, only material damages.

  • nice fly but i dont think its safe to fly with that plane in that place

  • I have this one ,wery good plane in the start i have many near by accidents all the time because if going to slow it just tip over ,just luck that didnt crash it , no it,s 3 y.old and still flying ,wery good plane, the only plane i have so i dont have something to compare with but i think its good, wids from it is in my account:) Yours is moore powerful then mine :)

  • awsome piloting skills!

  • Sorry for your plane it was a beauty, it looks like a nitro very powerful nice flight good skills, about the crash everybody in this beautiful hobby did it.

  • This isn't a 3D aerobatic model. There is a reason the full scale C182 is not rated for such aerobatics either. The fact that it is a high winger and requires wing struts would tell you that.

  • Ignore the comments of the jelous, that was some great smooth flying and aerobatics. Anyone here that has not found the limit of one of their planes has never truely flown a plane.

  • if you fly a scale plane SCALE then stuff like this doesnt happen

  • Comment removed

  • great skills and fly, sorry for your plane

  • Could you please tell what brand of cessna is this? Thanks

  • Looks like the plane I was going to buy from hobby king with the nav lights already installed, I'm having second thoughts now.

  • 0:02, cutest dog ever.

  • i think he exceed the g force of the airplane

  • RIP cessna my she fly some place better

  • I just lost my Habu today ) : I feel your pain

  • oop aaaaaahah huh lol nice rip i just got a superstar ep

  • @310smoker lol, grats

  • 2 tiny 1/16 inch nubs of plastic are intended to engage a plastic plate at the windshield in the manner where experienced builders typically use dowels sticking out 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

Any flexing of the "elapor" (very flexible foam) would allow the nubs to disengage.

It looks like the nubs disengaged leaving the trailing edge bolts and the struts to hold the wing on... the struts failed. The wing folded back and ripped out the Trailing edge.

    Instant lawn dart.

  • I wish you had an onboard camera on that thing :P

  • I was just thinking that you cant do loopings with a 182 when the wings came off...

  • There he is with his cessna (pause) .......... Exploding

  • Wing strut failure.

  • The two wing halves above the front windshield were only retained by plastic locks which snaps into position under pressure. The rear is held in place with screws and prevents the wing from unlocking. A thick carbon fiber rod spans the two halves.

Two inverted outside loops were executed on 2:21 and 2:28. The second loop unlocked the front and disengaged the wings from the fuselage. Failure on 2:35 as a result of wings not locked in. Wings supports break under stress as well.

    R.I.P.

  • It took me a while to figure out what really happened on this flight. Reality check... I was the one at the controls and extremely grateful that no one was hurt.

Everyone has their style of flying and there are others who are more daring than the majority out there. The limits of this airplane were exceeded on this flight and catastrophic failure of the wings were the result.

    ...read more above ^^^^^

  • @greenbeast7 great flying, i would of done the same thing push the plane to its limit, thats how you learn, learn to fly and rebuild :)

  • @greenbeast7

you pushed the load factor (weight of the aircraft) too match that the wings design to handle it , so the aircraft weight was at lest Twice the weight of the normal weight !!

  • @moosa6669 That's actually not true. Adding weight actually increases Va, or the safe maneuvering speed of the aircraft.

If you take one plane that's loaded lightly, and one plane that's heavy, fly them both at the same airspeed, and suddenly yank on the elevator putting their wings at max angle of attack, the heavily loaded plane experiences less acceleration, therefore the wings are less likely to fail.

If you don't believe me, go read about Va (maneuvering speed.)

  • Oh, what a shame. That was a nice bird. I love the way it maneuvered.

I didn't want to see the wreck but I had to know what you were referring to. Our youth group is building a plane from scratch. I thought it best to learn what happened.

From the beginning of the video I think I see the supports you mentioned. Thanks for warning others.

Our plane has four nylon screws that fasten into nylon anchors inserted from under the fuselage rails. Hopefully it will hold that six foot wing adequately.

  • @donteverlietome I think I've figured it out...

  • Lol... this is a lesson in wing loading , or should I say overloading.

  • Could have been those terroists thatd did this

  • @wpniabbc LOLOL best comment

  • yeap i hate people that fly scale planes like a fighter lol i hope you learn

  • Fly a real Cessna 182 like that and the same thing would happen. If you use stronger struts, the wing will most likely fold. Nice flying skills though. Now get an Edge or Yak.

  • I have one of these planes myself. I fly it pretty conservatively out of fear this stuff will happen. It's a pretty good plane all and all but as other posters said, it needs some strengthening in places. I stove mine up on the maiden flight because I broke the right stick on the radio when I dropped it and did not realize it until it was too late. Airfield has a lot of spare parts for this model at a pretty good price. Sorry you dumped it. That sucks.

  • Ouch!!! Well, I assume lesson learned...right?

  • The wings did not give out the plane did what it was made to do. It was pilot over kill heheheh. If you fly it like a fighter jet then. Put more support in the wings . Great stuff I learned something today . heheh/.

  • you pushed it to hard ;) she was a nice plane lol

  • @jinxym :D

  • I noticed your using an adapter to connect your battery to the deans ESC. Is there any problems with doing this? Does it effect current draw or anything like that?

  • This is what happens when you push plane and fly it around like a fighter jet!

its a Cessna not a stunt plane, you push it into a inverted loop the fuselage broke of as a result of stress not designed for this plane.

  • oh snap! (forgive the pun) that's unfortunate! :(

  • @BrotherBloat i will not forgive the pun as it was fully intentional

  • @YuTubeWeTube heheheheh :)

  • Man, you were flying so great ! I hate it when this happens. Repairable ?

  • Bummer man!

I think it was those outside loops that broke the cabain struts!

  • How did the PROP not break when everything else did?

  • MORE RUBBER BANDS

  • oh...first i thought it hit another plane.......then i watched again, that was bad luck.....the stress of flight!!

  • That sucks

  • Ouch! I done that before. And I kept trying to fly it all the way to ground pulling back lol
