Yes you can download them from the support site but you can also put the dvd in another machine to get the files. You will need to get a usb2 dvd drive anyway to install Windows 7.

Did all the hotkeys automatically work or did you have to make them work? I'm a little worried about installing Windows 7 because I don't know if the Volume button and stuff will still work (but I see yours did!).

I installed the asus ACPI,Super Hybred Engine, and hotkey software from the disc and it worked on win7.

That's all I did. :)

hi! im having the same problem, but when i put the cd in, its says there is a problem with the operationg system and that the program wont run in this OS... any tips? i can prob find this in the ASUS eeePC site right?

Hey!

I installed windows 7 and went to the asus website to find the SHE driver (Super Hyrbid Engine) I downloaded it, installed it and restarted my PC. And then after that i started up SHE

it loaded and i got the error Bios Version Error.

Can you please help?

BTW my EEE is a 1000HA

@junellevids Did you install the bios update required for windows 7. There was a change in how the acpi stuff works that requires it.
