This movie might be the source of both the feather in "Forrest Gump" (perhaps as a symbol of God's presence and tenderness in both cases) and the Bad Religion lyric "I will burn like a Roman fucking candle". Thanks for putting it up. I loved it.

I like to consider myself one who would put forth an honest, open-minded opinion in a respectable, modest manner of language. But when you slap some disgusting voice-over above the beautiful Russian film of Tarkovsky's I have no regret in saying: "FUCK YOU!!"

Nostalghia, one of the most poetic of all films, deserves better. Then again, its Youtube, so Tarkovsly would probably have laughed.

I was excited to see this movie on here but, the ridiculous voice over completely ruins any ability to watch this (why watch it if someone is talking over evryone speaking in the movie).

As a result this upload is worthless. The people who gave this upload likes must not care if they are able to watch a great movie properly or if they are even able to hear the actors...ridiculous.

Tarkovsky is borring and nothing to see beside long stupid shots.The talk between actors is short and minimal.The screen writer don,t know to write a good dialog,dynamic like in real life.Look like is made by mentally handicap people.Look at t-shoots, nothing to tell for film students.The film can be shoot in Russia,no need to move location ouside Russia, there is fog and we don,t see t-beauty of Venice.Tarkovsky go back to school and start learning again.

@almasan1247 He should go back to school? Tarkovsky is dead genius (Tarvoksky really was an artistic genius but the only way to call you a genius is when being sarcastic). Reducing a Tarkovsky film to "long stupid shots" says everything that needs to be said about your ability to appreciate and understand great works of art that actually have something to say.

Brilliant film in all respects. An astonishing masterpiece! But that annoying voice over!!! You simply CANNOT treat a Tarkovsky like this!

@faithandarts0 I agree! Having a voice over in this film, or any film, would be like someone standing in front of a theater while the movie is playing, screaming their lungs out. It's pointless. This is unwatchable. Maybe PyccoTypucmo will re-upload this without the annoying voice over.
