I wish I knew about frame serving before I edited a concert a few months ago. I could have cut the video together, then color-corrected the source to help the different cameras match better and see how well they suit the final product. I used Vegas 8's multicam edit mode. No color correction after the fact unless you want to apply it to each little segment, one at a time. So my shots just didn't match!
Why would you use VirtualDubMod? It hasn't been updated since like 2006. Meanwhile VirtualDub has ongoing development. Notepad and the F2 key (reopen file) in VirtualDub is all I need for script editing. Also, cropping using the resizer would allow you to do pixel exact cropping in YV12 colorspace.
