I was curious to know: The sorcerer has some skills, like Inferno, where the entire screen lights up and goes blurry for a moment. It's a very cool visual effect (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about). Does the chanter get any spells which have that type of effect?

@CrownChanel chanters wear mail and i havent gotten to 25 yet but i heard that cleric is best at PvP and chanter better at PvE

We wear chain. Clerics will have higher survivability but chanters are more all around. IMO chanters are gonna be better at pvp (Im only level 30 atm so im not sure about 50 yet)

Ranged stun skill, get it at lvl 42 from an instance or buy it from the broker.

@lawlawlowned no there is an elyos chanter skill with the same name as the templar skill. the asmo version is called soul strike but for some dumb reason they gave the elyos chanters inescapable judgement

Gear and weapons you can use most of the time have the stats you need to start with. So you don't have to be overly concerned with stats on your gear (despite that magic boost doesn't help a chanter much). Stone wise there are different options. I personally go with crit to cap then parry.

I was woundering, How many mantras can you maintain at one time?

You can keep three mantras up until you cancel or switch them. If you have a second chanter in the group it would be one additional from the second chanter

It's our lvl 42 ranged stun which is worded the same as the templar skill.

one of the most clean, well editted videos i've seen of the game so far--one that actually shows some of the stuff i'd like to see.... yeah i knew a chanter carried a staff, assumed it was really a core caster though with staff just for stats more or less... 5 stars on relevant content... seems these are more like friars or monks rather than /afk buffbots

Clerics are the caster priests whereas Chanters are the melee types. 90% of our attacks are melee based and all chains start in melee range. The attacks also add phys. resist debuff and reduce run and flying speed for a few seconds.

chanter have any AOE skills? i'd like to be able to lure big groups of 'mobs' if thats possible.

In any case: chanter looks intresting, i'd might choose that over ranger

No, unfortunately not really. We have Tremor a lvl 40 4k DP skill on 1h CD. Damages and knocksdown all targets close by and creates an absorption shield for a few seconds. Then the lvl 50 18 Target skill disable for 15 seconds. But that's it
