Last night I walked out my back door and wandered over to look out over the Pentland Firth. I watched the sunset over Dunnet Head while this beautiful melody was played on my iPod. I wept, my tears rolling down over my cheeks. I wept for all those who don't have such beauty on their doorstep. I wept for the passing of the man who created such wonderful music. So if anyone ever visits the far north of Scotland and sees an old man weeping while listening to his iPod say 'Hello' wont you.

First post didn't go through, so I'll try again. Someone has composed a piece to honor out veterans called Hail to the Heroes using the John Dunbar theme (also available on here). This rendition with the bagpipes has a bit more military feel to it. I will sing that piece next month at a veterans' appreciation day in Boston using this CD as my accompaniment. It will be terrrific!

John Barry has written some excellent music and this has always been one of my favorites; however, combined with the pipes etc and the beautiful video, this has to be at the top of the list of music to stir the senses!

I must do some research on the Royal Scots Dragoon Guard, their pipes have an unusual reedy quality to them. Maybe that's why they sound so in tune with each other. Great video! Thanks!
