This is way better than that Champions League qualifying goal against Olympiakos. This was easily 30 yards out. That goal wasn't even 25 yards and was from an easier angle!

yeah but that goal meant way more! This game we were already winning, we really didn't need another goal. But that goal against Olympiakos sent us through and we won the champions league!
Would you want to beat villa 3-1 or win the the champions league! obvious choice there mate!

be fair smokey, tissiers goals were amazing but he didn't score as many as stevie g. he wasn't nearly as gud as gerrard - for a start he never won all possible trophies for an english player at club level -champions league, fa cup, uefa cup, and league cup- like gerrard has, scoring in every final dont forget. and tissier cudnt even get in the ENGLAND team. Gerrards been first name on the team sheet since he broke the squad.

He was an out of shape attacking player who did fuck all for the team. He'd do nothing for 90 minutes then do a 10 second flash of brilliance. He was a luxury player. Gerrard CONTROLS games, he does everything, he never gets tired, he has tremendous pace wonderful tackling and scores his best goals in cup finals and CL games, NOT just against sides like Blackburn and Newcastle in in their cases pretty meanlingless PL games.
