  • I am doing a project on bo jackson and he was a BEAST!!! Sucks he had a hip injury

  • Wow. No one else has EVER compared.

  • very blessed that the nfl and mlb was able to expose the talent that bo jackson has. extremely sad and heart hurting to know how short his career was, knowin how much potential he had, and not letting him in, in the HOF...once in a century player.

  • kevin walter is the one that hurt him right?

  • i know someone who is related to bo jackson

  • Berry sanders is still the best running back ever Bo Jackson wouldn't have changed that so it's not like we lost a HOF player we just lost a good player

  • Any of you guys think that Bo would have been better than Barry? Anyone here have performance numbers to compare?

  • @RK831 From what i know Bo was a back up or so for Allen and only played 3 years so not worth comparing but he had a lot of skill.

  • That last run, I watched that game and remember them thinking it was a minor injury. I also remember when they announced the hip injury later but few thought it would end his career. Sad day for sports because he would have been a HOF back for sure.

  • If not for the hip injury I think Bo could have been the greatest running back EVER

  • Bo Jackson was Earl Campbell.

  • no comparison besides they were both rb

  • @georgeshute both power runners who could dash in the open field if they weren't running you over. Their running styles were indistinguishable. And both had injury-shortened careers.

  • lol super bo

  • 3:45 = A very sad day in football history.

  • 2:17 is that Dr Dre and Easy E in the stands?

  • the last tackle at the end there .... it's like his waist does a 360 while his legs stay in place, no wonder he broke his hip ..... oh well at least we still have him in NES's Tecmo Super Bowl

  • I was there baby! Raiders! Whoop there it is!

  • The best Raiders RB ever! That was a sad day against Cincinnati. They would have went to the Super Bowl and interupted Buffalo's streak if that wouldn't have happened. I was telling some young Raiders fans that Bo had the size and power of Michael Bush and was faster and more agile than McFadden. They didn't believe me.

  • I love it ,

thanks for posting this footage of bo...!

  • damn this guy has rockets!! amazing for his size

  • Most Cincinnati Bengal fans swear up and down things have not gone right since that 1990 playoff game in which Bo Jackson got hurt in.

We kill Bo's career and the Bengals go 14 consecutive years without making the playoffs. And when we finally get back there in 2005, Carson Palmer goes down on the 3rd offense play of the game for Cincinnati.

Maybe with the Bengals trading Carson to the Raiders, maybe we can finally get over what we call . . .

    THE BO JACKSON CURSE

  • @finisher3x Interesting...have never thought of that. Heckuva coincidence.

  • mamakunt was the dude that couldn't catch bo and he's still mad about it til this day

  • haha go bengals thanks for putting that overhyped crap machine out of football forever haha Bo Knows broken hips

  • @MamaKat024 fuck you cunt ass hoe nobody likes yo skank ass anyway u bitch

  • Well you guys are also missing the fact of if the healing process went right and Bo healed properly, he could have came back and been doing work in no time. Being the healing went weird and Bo wasn't ever the same again, he unfortunately had to retire

  • your right had this tackle never happened he would have been an HOF baseball player. Great athlete!!!!!!!!!

  • 4.12 40-Yard time, great baseball player, great football player. Had this tackle never happened he would've been a hall of fame running back, and could've span his career longer and possibly set unbreakable records...

  • 4.12 40-Yard time, great baseball player, great football player. Had this tackle never happened he would've been a hall of fame running back, and could've span his career longer and possibly set unbreakable records...

  • I never thought it would be the end of Bo Jacksons carrier. This is the first time i watched it sence it happened live.

  • Barry sanders is one of the all time..and he played for a shitty team his whole career

  • He's no faster than CJ and he only ran a 4.24. Bo was the best all around back to ever play the game though.

  • @BLong114 lol ONLY a 4.24.....

  • greatest running back of all time but still doesnt run a 4.1

  • Does anybody know if he would've gotten that injury here in the present, would we be able to fix it?? I know it really doesnt matter I'm just curious...

  • @jruiz94 They would proll only be able to put another false hip

  • @jruiz94 Garrison Hearst had a similar injury in a playoff game in Atlanta in 1998. It took two seasons to heal but he did return and had a great year.

  • I was actually at that game as a child, which was the only Raiders game my father took me too because of the random fights that happened in the stadium. Still can't believe that was the end of Bo.

  • I love it how Bo turns around incredulously after Jones catches him from behind. Bo whips around as if to say, "WHAT?!? Who dares try to catch Bo Jackson from behind?!?". I wouldn't be surprised if that was the only time that ever happened to him, in his entire life. It must have been a very unfamiliar feeling for Bo.

  • If the last Three and a half minutes of this video was cut out it would be a great video.

  • 3:12...had it to do over again, GET OUT OF BOUNDS, BO!!! PLEASE!!!!! but that was not his style.

  • that run against the Broncos almost made a brotha emotional. Its remarkable to see somebody truly great. Awe inspiring.

  • death to kevin walker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • NO one in history is as good of an athlete as bo was. Inhuman

  • Just another reason to hate the Bengals.

  • first play was amazing

  • I think Bo finished 5th in a rushing one season and he only played 8 games because of Baseball.

  • @javonlegacy funny how bo only had 4 and hahahha bo is better, but sayers was pre beast tho

  • Bo Jackson, definitely better athlete than Barry Sanders. But only Sanders has proven he can put up HOF numbers without good blocking every other HOF running back had. If I had no O-line and wanted to win right away, Barry. Which is better just depends on your belief of the word "better"

  • Bo was the best RB to ever play, IMO. Blazing speed, shifty moves and brutal power.

  • Just imagine he also played baseball and wrecked at that too. How many guys have wrecked, not just played, but WRECKED in TWO pro sports?

  • @cokerewardsbarrycent

    Deon Sanders wasn't shabby.

Frank Thomas could have, as could have Dave Winfield, and Dave could have done it in THREE sports. Not just two.

Charlie Ward has managed to do it (Albeit was college for football, and pro for basketball). Still to be a Heisman trophy winning QB then an NBA point guard is impressive.

And Jim Thorpe wrecked at everything. Everything.

    However yeah, I loved Bo.

  • @cokerewardsbarrycent did you seriously say that he "wrecked" two pro sports? potential doesn't count. he never ran for 1000 yards in his career.

  • @jmarquise yea your right he didnt run for 1000 yards he ran for 2,782 yards and 16 touchdowns the 5 years he played pro football if thats no wrecking then you either dont watch or play football or are a complete idiot..

  • @abelUSMC6691 1000 yards in a season dipshit. he was a backup to marcus allen. so he averaged 556 yards per season huh? yeah, that is a one man wrecking crew. give me a break. he was good when he had the ball, but his career was way too short. don't forget his lifetime .250 batting average and 141 lifetime home runs. yup, one man wrecking crew. he might have been better than ki-jana carter.

  • @cokerewardsbarrycent Let's use the word WRECKED to describe doing GOOD. That comment wrecked. Wrecko Stevens RIP.

  • Shame his career didn't last that long. He would have been a sure thing in the hall of fame.

  • The thing with Bo was, he really looked 230 pounds!

He just looked like Jerome Bettis, with 4.2 speed, and Barry Sanders moves!

  • 3:52 - "Who doesn't appear to be seriously injured." Little did they know...

  • Had he not been injured, Bo would've been THE nfl rushing leader of all time. I can promise you guys that....

  • compare that AF player to jonah lomu of rugby .... no comparison

  • @balisticmissile1995 what? jonah has never played a down in this sport so yes theres no comparison. jonah was a great RUGBY player but he never did anything in af football. Just go stick with your rugby videos.

  • Everyone always says this is the greatest athlete in recent memory, but the worlds greatest athlete shouldn't be gassed after 100 yards of sprinting. No stamina what so ever.

  • @conspicuousjim you obviously never played football , the guys been on the field all day running and blocking.

  • @TheShlizzer I guess you never saw Adrian Peterson take his 25th carry and go 64 yards for a TD while forcing 5 missed tackles. The world's greatest athlete shouldn't be gassed in a football game.

  • @conspicuousjim You're dumb as fuck he went at least 150 yds overall, while averting tacklers the whole time. Also, show me one play Adrian Peterson made that had any resemblence to this and don't show me his fucking high school highlights either.

  • @SmooveHolsenback how about his 64 yard TD against the Browns?

  • @conspicuousjim 88yds>64yds

  • Even if he didn't get injured he wasn't gonna be around for very long. He came into the league at age 25 and running backs peak between ages 24-27 with 22 and 23 not far behind. He just started too late.

  • absolutely no comparison.......i dont give uh fucc who u bring......payton......apee#28...cjohnson#29.....simpson...#32..diccerson...#29......sayerz...#40.....sanderz...#20.....bettis..#36...ftaylor#28.....faulk..#28......allen...#32....shone greene....etc.....dont matter old or new breed.......there will never be uh nutha bo.......bow down.......nobody made u hold yo breath like vincent.....baseball/football...whut....thk god 4 me bein able 2 witness this.....vry thkfl 4 the yrz u did give us.

  • from 0:38...LOOK AT BO FEET..........I SWEAR.....I WANTED 2 BE LIKE THIS NIGGA....I ADMIRED HIM...NOT JUS 4 HIS ABILITY....BUT THE HOOD IN HIM.....THE HUNGER.....THE PAIN...PEOPLE DONT KNOW THIS DUDE CAME FROM NUTHIN.......WAS UH TROUBLED CHILD.......B4 PAC.......I WROTE ESSAY...GOT POSTERZ....TECMO BOWL ...RUN 2....LOL.....I KNOW WHUT UH HOG IZ ON THE FIELD CUZ OF BO.....I PLAYED TAILBACC ALL MY LIFE....REAL SWEET.....BO THE ONLY NIGGA ASIDE FROM TYSON WHO I RELATE 2...I FUCC WIT VICC 2.....

  • @VANGOGH220 mike tyson and bo jackson? i bet you think you're hard dont you.

  • God damn...dat boy good.

  • Such a shame when Bo went down in this game. I still remember being a 9 year old Super Bo Fan and watching this game.

  • Had he not been injured, Bo would have been the best of all time!

  • TOUCHDOWN!! Bo Jackson

  • lol all the highlights r against the bengals

  • Now I remember why I would draw the air guns and shoot after I scored touch downs as a kid playing football. This man right here... An inspiration, a role model, and one of the most excited players ever to don the silver and black. Thank you Mr. Jackson for all the memories.

  • thumbs up if u think walter payton is the best of all times

  • One of the saddest moments in athletic history

  • how many seasons did he play

  • raiders first to try the dual rb's

  • Marcus Allen super unselfish....blocking his ass off!!

  • the end breaks my heart.."doesnt appear to be serious..looks like a pulled muscle"....nobody in the world would have guessed that would be the killing blow to the worlds greatest athelete.. :(

  • @denali22 I was thinking the same thing. Freaky to know that that was the end of a hall of fame career

  • @denali22 he said later on film that he popped his hip back in it's socket... you know how damn strong you have to be to pop your own hip in?

  • if he only he would have gone out of bounce instead of trying to get a few more yards on that last run. that wasn't his style though. just image how many super bowls the raiders could have had if he didn't end his career right there.

  • i plan on playin HBA THIS YEAR. TAKIN NOte on the things bo and sanders did.

  • He is like mike tyson playing football.

  • @meercat30 he's like a cross between chris johnson and adrain peterson is how i think of him. and only if he had barry sanders in him you couldn't touch him.

  • @idontnoapassword Yeah yeah. The weird thing is that he is not two people.

  • @idontnoapassword A better comparison would be the speed of OJ Simpson with the power of Earl Campbell. Many people forget OJ was once a WR holder in the 4 X 100 meter relay team as a member of the USC track team. Bo is the only other RB in history that compares to campbell in the power category.

  • Tecmo Bowl theme should be the music for this video.

  • Jones didn't have to run all out the whole play, but that is one hell of a job running him down

  • Bo Jackson will always be my favorite football player!!! One day when my boy is old enough I will show him what I saw from Bo with these YouTube videos.

  • bo jackson best football player thumbs up if he is

  • man... bo jackson would actually avg 60 yards per carry but goal line offense cuts it down

  • thumbs up if you think him and walter payton are the best running backs

  • Hope D-MAC can be the next BO.

  • @medicmunoz Michael Bush runs like Bo

  • @fuzzylogic218 he does but doesnt have his speed

  • @xzeen69x True but bush...and I hate to use the over used word... He is a beast.

  • @medicmunoz do you play los toros?

  • @medicmunoz I see a mix of Bo Jackson and Marcus Allen when i see Darren McFadden on the field. The man is freakin awesome. I beleave Darren will be better then Bo, Because he will have a long wonerfull Raider carrier and break alot of records on the way, just like Bo would of done if he didnot get injured.

  • 2:04....look at number 25 on the ground all exhausted like..."shit!!!!" LOL

  • 7 people were denver bronco fans

  • very few running back now a days have feet like that, to me thats the huge difference

  • @ryancapers what do you mean now adays? very few running backs ever had feet like and legs like his, maybe nobodys

  • He went on to have an average career in baseball... It's not that he was too severely injured to play football, he just had a heart for baseball.

  • @Darkscott626 NO your wrong asshole, He COULDN'T play football anymore. Baseball is a non contact sport, thats why he could play it and he was pretty damn good I'd say. I mean he hit a home run on his 1st at bat back from the injury. He's a badass, a heisman trophy winner, and would have been the best RB everrrr. He was probably the best athlete who ever lived and it's a shame ALL he could do was play baseball...such a damn shame...because baseball just can't compare to football.

  • D-Mac! maybe? lol or im i dreaming here?

  • "...does not appear to be seriously injured..." Thanks, Dr Enberg...

  • I think I read somewhere that Bo Jackson averaged 20+ yards per carry over his career versus the Bengals. LOL.

  • bo jackson= tru legend INDEED!!!!!!!

  • Theres no way he ran a 4.12. By the looks of all his highlights I'd put him around 4.31-4.32. Maybe 4.29, but Chris johnson is scoring in that highlight. Bo still would have been the best though without the hip injury.

  • @BLong114

He was actually once timed (at an NFL Combine) at 4.08, which is the still the fastest ever at that type of venue.

  • @ParadisePete If that's the case then Jones must be running a 3.9. Probably just exaggerations, Usian Bolt ran the fastest split of his record breaking run in 4.17 seconds. Bo raced some sprinters in the 80's and lost.(just barely) If Bolt beat their times than there's no way he's running a 4.08, or a 4.12. He is a freak of nature though!

  • @BLong114 He ran an unofficial 4.12, officially 4.18 at the combine back in '86.

  • It's a damn shame he got hurt. He would have been the best when it was all said and done.

  • best athlete ever, look at his baseball #'s! HoF baby. last play was a shame, looked so innocent, although the LB was kind of twisting his leg. who was the LB?

  • Marcus Allen and Bo Jackson on the same team!? Are you kidding me!!

  • War eagle

  • I cried when I found out that his career was over after being tackled in that Bengal game. What a talent he was, God know what he would of done if he didn't suffer the career ending injury.

  • Sad to see that last run

    Remember watching the game.

Bo was a beast...Dude could cut and move amazingly for a big man

  • ACTUALLY BO WAS 6"1 240 LBS. perspective...there are linebackers that size today and still he had the speed.

  • That last run in the end. Knowing it was his last is almost depressing.

  • @cradlehead23 why was it his last? what happened to him? he still looked young....

  • @swabss Bo jackson was injured on a play , it was a freak injury to his hip, I dont know if anyone has ever had that injury since, but he could no longer play football. He played baseball from then on, it left him with a lip but he still played a couple of more years with the white sox.

  • i got my nickname "Bo" from him

  • Damn.."Does not appear to be seriously injured". The only time Dick Enberg was ever wrong...

  • @jimistreets what happened?

  • dang Steve920, did that rude comment make you feel like a superior human being?

  • I bet "Run Nigga Run" was hardwired to his brain at birth.

  • Too bad his carreer ended too soon.

  • He could have been if he stayed healthy.

  • Dang. My dad talks about this guy a lot. I was just a little baby when he was playing, wish I could have seen him. Raaaaaider Nation baby!!

  • Fuck hes fast!

  • Superbo!

  • Jackson gets to his feet even though he has a fractured hip 3:10 i guess falls down again and then gets back to his feet again 3:49. unbelievable.

  • bo jackson actually ran a 4.12 - 40 yard dash? that foo looks like a big power back; mann jus like darren mcfadden

  • i wouldn't even try to tackle him. Thumbs up if u think he and Barry Sanders are the best RBs ever.

  • @BSThePrince i wouldnt say bo jackson hes kinda like earl cambell

  • @BSThePrince

    what about earl campbell?

  • @BSThePrince nah ima say bo jackson (if he put his mind to it, and didnt injure his hip) was the best. not even gunna compare wat bo could have done to wat barry sanders did

  • @BSThePrince and walter payton

  • @BSThePrince sorry but you have made a big typeo you typed in barry sanders and not jim brown please look at your keyboard next time

  • @BSThePrince im sorry barry sanders was good, but you have to understand that he wasnt the athlete bo was. and also bo was consitent. barry was short yarage, short yardage, then a long run. while bo was linear speed running straight into your opponent.

  • @BSThePrince no its bo, barry sanders, and walter peyton

  • Damn!! MIss those days!

  • i got his jersy

  • What was his injury?

  • @link182ava44 he landed on his hip and it ended up damaging the blood supply to his hip which lead to the degenerative condition which lead him to have to have an artificial hip implanted.

  • @link182ava44 dislocated or broken hip, i know he had a fucked up hip so he retired juss like preist holmes

  • @link182ava44 , career ending dislocation. And he just walks it off like a badass. Sad really, he was one of the greatest ever

  • You guys can talk all you want about these "sprinters" and if they had Bo's size they would of broke many records. Well folks, they dont have the size therefore their is only one Bo

  • Watching these runs brought back so many memories for me. I saw him on TV when the Raiders played the Seahawks on MNF. The look on Boz sitting on the bench like he was hit by a freight train was priceless. Every touch of the football was a potential TD. I never wanted to go to the bathroom whenever the Raiders were on offense. I also remember the play where he was injured and ended his career. What could have been.

  • 1:28 u can see how bo jackson in my opinion was the fastest player in nfl history

  • If he stayed healthy the best ever? Maybe

  • LOl art shell gawd thiers a name i havnt heard in ages

  • @AubreeMorrison1973 You do know that in 2006 Art shell was rehired by oakland for a year right?

  • Reminds me of Adrian Peterson

  • JACKSON HAD SPEED LOTS OF IT HE WAS A NASEBALL PLAYER

  • damn, bo and allen in the same pic! great memories.

  • Bo knows football. Nice compilation - no nonsense - just Bo. Thanks.

  • That last highlight was the hit that ended his career as he landed on his hip and it ended up damaging the blood supply to his hip which lead to the degenerative condition which lead him to have to have an artificial hip implanted.

He never played football again but did play pro baseball again albeit an abbreviated time.

  • BO Jack. Was ahead of time

He was such a rare talent, It was like he's out

    on the field "CHEATING"

    Jim Brown, Hands Down.

    BO JACK! (The Best)

  • "Appears not to be seriously injured." Little did anyone know, he would never play football again. I can't believe he did so much damage to his hip with that play - didn't look bad at all. I wonder if his hip could have been surgically repaired better in todays day and age. Such a shame.

  • @2taggs

I like to see the guy play longer.

  • @2taggs2 Sadly yes Look at Sidney Rice had the same hip injury but he'll play again

  • If he just focused on football, I wonder what his stats would have been in a 16 game season. 11 games is the most he played in one season. Unreal that he never had a 1,000 yard season.

  • @2taggs2 i agree. deion could do it so y couldn't bo put 100% in football then concentrate on baseball second. guess he liked baseball more

  • May Kevin Walker BURN in hell !!!!! Long LIVE Bo Jackson.. his legend will live forever. Any fan of Bo Jackson should try & get the ESPN sports century on Bo Jackson. It'll make u tear up.. lol (anybody finds it send me a MESSAGE ASAP)

  • @Willynbtx YOU couldnt have said it any better!! The athlete who inspired many to pick up a football.. was cut down in seconds. It hurts me to watch this video, but I keep it on replay in disbelief hoping that it was just a DREAM.

  • It almost looks like Bo is running on a different field than anyone else on the field.
