@Eenkin Eh, really? He actually posted the remix part's lyrics?! [facepalm] I can't read Japanese anyway, so I wouldn't have known, even if I looked. But it certainly would've made my life easier. XD (Had assumed it couldn't be found, since no one else subbed it as far as I know.) I thought it was the "ni unasa-" part for a second, but it seemed too slow to match. Can't fix it now, trying to annotate over it would be timing hell.

@NutyRiver My guess is as good as yours, but I'm pretty sure it's about a girl (who lacks self-confidence) who loves someone who doesn't really love her back and, to make herself feel better, makes herself pretty with makeup and earrings (it doesn't work and she still feels empty inside). And this love of hers is kinda not entirely real or selfless--she just wants someone to make her feel less lonely. Though, that's a pretty superficial understanding of it. I don't know about any deeper meaning.

I like the way you see it. I'm not too sure about my own interpretation but here I go: First, I've always seen the 'Butterfly on your right shoulder' as a hickey, which I guess, the girl considers it as a mark that says the guy is hers.I'm guessing the girl has a sexual relationship with the guy who does not return her feelings of love. She chases him (For sex, I guess) Runs away (She can't bear his lack of feelings for her) Then she is chased (She likes to think she is needed by him)

I'm going to continue:The reason why she lost her way is that she likes what she's doing just as much as she doesn't; She'll lose something she wants if she quits anyway. The heartrending feeling is the one she's feeling because the guy is only using her (I'm not sure). Also, the guy is the only one who can wake her up from her nightmare, since he's the one who is strong enough to break whatever chase they have, or is the one who can return her feelings, ending her pain. AND that's it. Thoughts?

@Avrilkkk270 Very interesting and different then how I see it: The girl (Rin oviously, but I'll make it more general) loves a boy but he doesn't care for her back. It causes her a lot of pain and she tries to ignore it by making herself pretty and the like but that's only a temporary fix. The 'butterfly' is her persistant love for him even though she's trying to forget it and it drives her crazy how he never notices her love for him.
