Independent gun and head tracking would probably be better to control though. Specially in a small space. The ingame camera follows the head tracking and the ingame gun follows the aim of the actual plastic gun.

That way you could more or less stay in one spot.

No having to hold the weapon up in firing mode all the time.

Be more intuitive with the look shoot mechanics.

The Image projector needs to be on a head band. i.e. your eyes point of view. holding the gun just to see would be exhausting. Still though, good effort. recoil would be an awesome option for the gun.

@bighands69 Few years ago VR glasses weren't easy on your eyes (to close), and I guess it didn't really improved. But head mount projection (with bigger FOV than your eyes have) plus 3D glasses and it will be unbeatable.

@jack720ass Are you blind? It is a 16:9 picture over high res HDMI. It looks bad because 1: it is being recorded by camera, and 2: It is a projection and the room is not completely dark.

You could have the turn sensitivity turned up so it moves as fast as you move. I could see people making their own makeshift round rooms. I'd guess the gun would go wireless after a few prototypes, add in shock vibration. I can see an immediate application for the Wii.

this is a useless money gimmick and quite frankly a wireless gun contoller is MUCH BETTER..because then your TV DOESNT RUN AROUND THE ROOM..not to mention the fact that its a projector and guess what..if u take a step forward or backward YOUR SCREEN SIZE WILL CHANGE DRAMATICLY.

Couple of thoughts... Don't show just the one box, show all of the surrounding area but blur wherever the gun is not aimed, like normal vision... What happens when you turn 180 degrees? ...

There is a projector mounted on top of the gun. That is what you see. I suggest you go to the planetarium if you want to see 360 degree fun.

Nice attitude... I was just noting my ideas.

How in any way does this improve game-play over a large TV then with a gun controller? I mean maybe it's cool if you could market it as a stand alone game system for dirt cheap like those old mini game consoles that used to have super simple baseball games for like 10 dollars.

But anyhow, there are without a doubt some missing elements here to claim the phrase of next generation gaming or "coolest gadget at CeBIT"
