  • sounds like the commentators r planning a blitzkrieg of poland

  • He was 1 hell of a wrestler.

  • WHO BETTA THEN MORTIS!!!!!!!!!!

  • only kanyon could come out to a variation of Bach, and be bad ass about it

  • I LOVED Mortis. He was so fucking metal. Couldn't you imagine him on Metalocalypse?

  • @halfmanhalfmetal I never thought of that but yes, he would make a great Metalocalypse character. Good call :) Thanks for posting.

  • Kane & Paul Bearer Are Wannabes! :)

  • Mortis Costume looks like a symbol of HHH. before HHH becames the kings of kings.

  • starr and kanyon were once a tag team with a construction worker gimmick. they were known as men at work.

  • ITS SHOA KHAN LOL WHEERES GLACIER THE SUB ZERO WANNABE XD

  • mortis got better skill then the undertaker

  • undertaker is the best.....the mortis sucks.....taker best gimmik in the world...

  • he wears the warlock t0 set

  • The Mortis costume was badass

  • Comment removed

  • someone got well prepared for halloween

  • Men at Work EXPLODE!!!

  • WCW'S version of the undertaker......FAIL.

  • @NDOGG26

How fuck do people not relise he's WCW's version of Scorpion from mortal kombat.

  • @TeamTowers1 Beats me. DDP has a video about it here on youtube. Apparently he had alot of creative input in this.

  • @TeamTowers1 because he wasn't wearing yellow or saying "get over here!" wcw fans didnt know what they had until it was gone = )

  • @Xb7sX Yeah, Mortis wasn't over with the fans much but that may be because he was mostly used in the "Blood Runs Cold" angle with Glacier and crew. That angle wasn't very popular with the fans. Then Mortis feuded briefly with Raven and The Flock but not long enough for Mortis' character to have much of a chance to see if the fans would like him or not. And we all know what WCW liked to do (which is a big reason they ultimately failed) - push wrestlers nobody liked or who had zero talent.

  • @Furinkazan20 thanx 4 the update = )

  • @Xb7sX You're welcome ;) Just pointing out the obvious partly because it still burns me up why and how WCW failed...

  • @Xb7sX Yes, it wouldn't had hurt the American wrestling audience if they had been a bit more open minded and not so worried about only seeing trash wrestlers and half naked women trying to wrestle.

  • How Ironic, Mark Starr and Chris Kanyon (Mortis) Used to be a Tag Team by the name of Men At Work.

  • Scorpion combined with Ghost Rider with Reptile's color scheme = Awesome

and damn didn't realise how tall Kanyon was

  • who's better than Kanyon?

  • @thedustyfinish Nobody!!! :)

  • Ah...i miss Chris Kanyon, too bad he is dead.

  • I liked the Mortis character actually lol

  • @vegakvd same.r.i.p chris kanyon

  • mortis is a failed undertaker wanna be.

  • @ThePaxel No, swing and a miss pal. Actually, if you knew anything about Mortis or his character then you'd know he was patterned after Scorpion and Ghost Rider, not the Undertaker. The biggest reason why the Mortis character failed is because he started in a storyline that not many WCW fans cared about. Then afterwards his character was misused and eventually trashed. Actually, it's a fact that WCW doing crap like this is a huge reason why they ended up going under.

  • @Furinkazan20 but if you look at his entrance....the guy walking beside him with the urn, head, ball.......whatever it was. the same thing Undertaker did when he first began his carrer. Undertaker had the grim organ music playing with Paul Barrer......thats what i was implying.

  • @ThePaxel Yeah, I see some random similarities but he isn't an Undertaker ripoff. I get your points but you should just not word it so harshly.

  • @ThePaxel wrong-o.. undertaker started out with brotherly love November 19, 1990.. get ur facts right fool

  • @ThePaxel

How the hell do you not relise mortis is a Scorpian ripoff not an Undertaker rip off. His rival is a Sub Zero ripoff and the other to characters in the story were rip offs of mortal Kombat characters. The head ball thing was probably ripped off from mortal kombat to anny simularity's to taker are probably coincdentle since they were to buisy ripping off mortal kombat to ripoff taker.

  • I loved the Mortis character. It was an absolute crime that he (nor Wrath) were ever properly pushed because Mortis - by far and large - was a supreme wrestler and an absolute innovator.

I was hoping that WWE would have brought back Mortis with Kane or something...but, why push talent?

That's why the luchadors never got pushed. A damn shame.

  • @CelticBhoyHoops they couldnt have brought mortis back because hes dead.when mortis/chris kanyon worked for the wwe he didnt last long because he admitted he was gay and the wwe didnt like it.pity really cos he was a shit hot wrestler.

  • @sheamus316 I understand he is dead. But they could have pushed him prior when he was alive.

Personally I thought it was a great gimmick and he was a innovative and phenomenal wrestler.

  • @CelticBhoyHoops If they had actually pushed Kanyon in either his Kanyon or Mortis personas then there is a very good chance that he would be alive right now. The main stressor that led to Kanyon's death was being fired from WWE and NEVER being given the proper push for a guy of his talents in any organization he competed for. They should all be ashamed of themselves pushing back a wrestler of Kanyon's calibur in favor of an injury-inducing moron like Brock Lesnar or an undertrained Goldberg.

  • Except without the... you know, whole moonsault off the top rope, missing, and I believe even getting the measuring tape out haha.

  • So, so very ironic. Mortis being Kanyon faces Mark Starr, his former Tag Team Partner of the tag team "Men At Work" from a long while ago :P

  • @Milodiablo Yes, you're absolutely right. Good observation. And yes, he did have a habit of missing his moonsault and measuring the ropes n' stuff, lol. People can say what they want about "Men at Work" but they (especially Kanyon) were good comic relief. Thanks for posting.

  • @Furinkazan20 Yes sir, I started watching wcw I believe near the end of the Men At Work era :) Mark Starr's theme in this video in it's form of wcw IS VERY RARE. In case you are wondering, just for knowledge the name of Mark Starr's song here is called "War Not War" From The Boondock Saints soundtrack!

  • undertaker Knock off

  • @ThaVenom88 I see some similarities but truthfully he's mostly a Scorpion and Ghost Rider knock off. It's a known fact that Mortis, Glacier, Wrath and Ernest Miller were patterned after Mortal Kombat characters. Supposedly Kanyon (RIP) wanted a character based on his favorite childhood superhero (Ghost Rider).

  • @Furinkazan20 how did he die

  • @ThaVenom88 Hi. Kanyon died from overdosing on antidepressants in April of last year. Kanyon had suffered from serious bipolar depression since WWE fired him (or in their politically correct bullshit wording "released him") in 2004. I study psychology and human behavior and him being fired in 2004 is what is known as a "stressor". A stressor causes one's mental condition to spiral and Kanyon finally hit his breaking point and took his own life. Very sad but I expect no better from WWE.

  • @Furinkazan20 wht did he do for the wwe idk he was n the wwe

  • @ThaVenom88 Yes, Kanyon was in WWE for three years (2001 - 2004). As any educated and honest wrestling fan knows the WWE is a poison for many wrestlers. In many cases if you're not huge, Irish, some Jerry Springer trash wrestler or a superstar from another well-known promotion that WWE can cash in on then you get treated like a nobody. This was the case with Kanyon. WWE never cashed in on Kanyon's mic skills and wrestling ability.

  • @ThaVenom88 Continued from my first reply - Instead WWE and the "brains" behind the company Vince McMahon fawned over people like Brock Lesnar (who quit WWE, injured many and who catches most of his breaks because of dumb luck rather than actual ability), Nathan Jones (a multi-time felon in Australia) or Stone Cold Wife Beater Austin (who is convicted of beating up his former wife Debra Williams who might weigh 125 pounds in a wet jean suit). Frankly if I were Kanyon I'd be glad they fired me.

  • thanks for the upload... even in german. i miss WCW ;(

  • @xaer0knight Hey, sorry I didn't respond sooner. Thanks for the nice comment. I could only find this video in German as of the moment I posted it, sorry! I don't mind it being in German since I'm part German, lol. As for missing WCW, I am with you on that one 100%. WCW had better wrestlers, a better talent pool (as in more people in varying weight classes, more wrestling styles and from more countries) and the storylines weren't as stupid and raunchy as good ole' WWE. Thanks for posting.

  • We All know Kanyon was Mortis but what most of us don't know is that Kanyon and Starr were actually tag-team partners in the tag team Men At Work

  • @MegaThriller2009 You certainly know your wrestling man. I am one of the few people who know that Kanyon and Mark Starr tag teamed as "Men at Work". I think that was back when Kanyon would do a moonsault off the ropes and completely miss his opponent, lol. Did you ever see him do that?

  • We All Kanyon was Mortis but what most of us don't know is that Kanyon and Starr were actually tag-team partners in the tag team Men At Work

  • wcw 4 life das waren noch zeiten nicht so ein quatsch wie heute bei der wwe und damals bei der wwf nur tna ist heute spitze!
