I hate that Sonic beats him without being Super in this. It really downplays the power of Perfect Chaos and the importance of this fight.

I mean, in Adventure, if Super Sonic couldn't beat Chaos, that was it. End of fucking world. But now Sonic's just like "Eh, w/e."

@supersoniccd Nice! I can assume you didn't have to deal with lag + a lower framerate like I do whenever I record these (I'd have probably gotten a better time if not for those. But hey, getting a better time without lag takes a lot more skill.)

P.S. - Your use of "Eat It" seems like an attempt to make me mad. Honestly, I enjoy seeing people best my times (which aren't amazing to begin with)

Also, be sure to at least take a screenshot next time. Most people here would rage over stuff like this.

The flying skill is rendered useless due to the fact that it drains i think 10 riongs a second its nice and cool but impractical unless they edit that i dont see why its there for hey look i can fly in a sonic game without tails yay purposes it lasts like 5 seconds then poof your normal

@sa2bfan55555 Yep. Unless you did like I did (also done by a few others), and edit a certain XML file the game uses. One of the parameters is how long it takes for Super Sonic to lose a single ring, both normally and during boost. Changing both to 1 makes him lose 1 ring every 1 second at all times. Now the flying boost is not useless.

@sa2bfan55555 The ring loss was obviously a mistake. I think they wanted to make supersonic less overpowered, but they missed the whole point. Supersonic is meant to be overpowered, and even if the increased speed wasn't as bad, that's no excuse for boosting causing your rings to get raped.

@freeconcheese Why wouldn't it? (Literally, all I did was make the regular Modern Sonic look like Super Sonic. Besides the title screen and the few cutscenes that are pre-rendered videos instead of real-time, Modern Sonic will look like Super Sonic in ALL levels and all of the cutscenes not excluded earlier. The actual gameplay is unaltered whatsoever, besides the edited run animation. And giving extra uses for the Classic shields. And making the Super Sonic skill lose 1 ring per second.)

@azuremaster01 I think it would be safe to say no (Considering that the Xbox360 files and PC files aren't very compatible, despite the PC version having been directly based on the 360 one, I highly doubt these would work with the PS3 version... Unless I were to gain access to the PS3 files and figure out how to do the same swaps. Which I'd never do because I don't have nor want a PS3, nor do I want to illegally obtain the files.)

1. Why are you waiting for "someone" to perfect the flying? I have a name, you know. (I'm the one who made the model swap and the videos.)

2. What exactly do you mean by flying? If you mean having a flying animation instead of running, It's already as perfect as possible using what's currently available. If you mean being able to fly through stages like you could with the skill, just remember that I'm never going to change or add-in anything that alters Sonic's physics / gameplay.

@ShadnicThe That's what the actual skill is for (Which I didn't edit at all, besides making him lose only 1 ring per second, even while boosting.) There actually isn't any way to add that to the standard Sonic gameplay, even if I wanted to (Really, this hack is supposed to just make Modern Sonic LOOK like Super Sonic, without altering the gameplay.)

@andredex1 Honestly, I didn't make this video for the Nostalgia factor. I made this to show off some hacks, plus a speed-run of the boss. If you want nostalgia, you could always download the hacks and play through the battle (Which is better than watching someone else do it, IMO.)

Besides, even if I kept the music the same, the Nostalgia is still broken by Omochao (Remember that he didn't exist until Sonic Adventure 2. And I'm not going to disable Omochao any time soon...)

@andredex1 Did you notice how my 3 other videos used songs which aren't normally in Sonic Generations? (Which I hacked in, BTW.) I didn't want to break the chain. Besides, the song I picked is fitting in a roundabout way... (Open your Heart was the first Main Theme done by Crush 40, and used in the first truly 3D Sonic game. Sonic Boom was the first English Main Theme song within the entire Sonic series, and used in the first CD-based Sonic game, AND the remix is sung by Crush 40.)

So I got myself a new computer (It almost meets the recommended requirements. The best part is that it was very cheap compared to other computers with the same specifications.)

@Isaiah38354 In the PC/PS3/Xbox360 version, Super Sonic is usable in the Time Eater battle, and in the main levels via a skill. That skill can't be used during boss battles, challenges, or the online time-attack modes. Thus, I made this model hack to sorta make up for it (AKA it makes Sonic LOOK like Super Sonic, but otherwise he plays exactly the same. He takes damage and isn't any faster than normal.)

The models in Sonic Generations rely on the Hedgehog Engine (A graphics engine involving lighting and textures.) Models from other games (Besides Sonic Unleashed, which also used the Hedgehog Engine) can't be swapped in (without a way to convert them to the format, at least)

However, Generations models can be ported to other games via a 3DS Max 2010/2011/2012 import script and exporting.

@SuperClassicGamer95 Not possible until I can actually alter the models. (The bone structure and size of the Classic Super Sonic model don't match up to the Classic Sonic model. It makes all the animations glitchy, unlike the Modern versions.)

When I play the add-in Sonic Boom in-game, it plays the remix instead of the original. I included download links for the music tools, but it seems I'm the only one in the entire Sonic Generations modding community who actually gets how they it all works.)

@SegaMario Not until the ability to fully edit models and animations is possible. There are too many differences between the Classic Sonic and Classic Super Sonic models, which really messes up the animations (Whereas Modern Sonic and Modern Super Sonic have the same model with only the eyes and quills changed.)
