For the Crown Princely couple to embrace it so warmly at their wedding, the future leaders of the country, shows acceptance and love for the native traditions of Norway - of whom Mari Boine and her beautiful song is a great example of. @prickas As far as I know, you`re right that this is a christmascarol performed in the Royal Wedding Ceremony in august but mockery every norwegians is unneccessary. @86juanita Yes, that is right. She was a single mom to a little boy and worked as a waitress until she met Prince Haakon Magnus. In 2001 she officially became Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and one day she will be the Queen of Norway.
