@pernorway ååååååååååå Per spelmann han hadde ei einaste ku. Han bytte bort kua, fekk fela igjen! «Du gamle gode fiolin, du fiolin, åååå du fela mi!» /danser rundt med nissebunaden og spiser brunost. For noe ræl!
This is symbolic aswell as beautiful in its own right, as joik, the Sami traditional folk singing, was not allowed near a church up to a generation or two ago. For the Crown Princely couple to embrace it so warmly at their wedding, the future leaders of the country, shows acceptance and love for the native traditions of Norway - of whom Mari Boine and her beautiful song is a great example of. The note at the very end, is just pure magnificence..
MARI BOINE will be performing live in London on 04 November 2011, at Kings Place, as part of the London International Festival of Exploratory Music (LIFEM)... do not miss it!!!
@prickas As far as I know, you`re right that this is a christmascarol performed in the Royal Wedding Ceremony in august but mockery every norwegians is unneccessary. It looks like you have general problems with norwegians. Recently I swedish net papers after yesterdays champion female boxing match Mikaela Lauren vs Cecilia Brækhus. Based on the comments most swedes are polite to norwegians. You represent yourself. You don`t represent every swede or sweden.
@86juanita Yes, that is right. She was a single mom to a little boy and worked as a waitress until she met Prince Haakon Magnus. In 2001 she officially became Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and one day she will be the Queen of Norway.
This sent shivers up my spine!
