Thanks for the kind words, MSH! I like Randy Hansen's act very much too, I just feel (actually sounds) that Steve & EXP have a more accurate JHE sound. Maybe, like I said, Randy's band more accurately reproduces the JHE sound live in concert vs. 'live' in YouTube. :-)

However, I am curious to know (and hear) how Randy would sound playing through Steve's set-up!

It's amazing how Steve and the guys manage to capture the 'heavy' JHE sound. Not even Randy Hansen's band can do this--at least not in any of the YouTube videos I've seen; maybe it's different live...I can't say, I can only comment on what I hear coming from my computer's speakers and it sez the Steve Webb EXPerience is the only band who has been able to convincingly do so!

I sure am glad to see you, electrix.  I was beginning to think we somehow lost the one guy who has been sticking up for and promoting SW & EXP since early on. I know Steve thinks Randy is a fantastic Hendrix player and has seen him many times. The one thing Steve might have going, is he records his own shows and mixes them and also has told the other guys to sound as much like the Experience or Band of Gypsys as they can. But as far as I know, Steve's said, Randy Hansen is his Fav.

Absolutely the best! No one can touch the authentic sound or note for note consistency of the Hendrix Performance. Steve Webb is a genus. Way better than other Impersonators. Including Randy Hansen who looks the part but does not entirely capture the sound and structure. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Exp is unquestionably the best in this genre.

That's about as good as praise can get. While I like your enthusiasm, I seriously doubt Steve thinks of himself as being better than Randy Hanson, looks or not. Still, he'll probably appreciate the comment anyway. For that, I thank you.

Really great! You kind of put your own spin on it while keeping the Hendrix flavour there. My band tried playing the Jimi version of Sgt. Pepper's but it turned out terrible! Keep it up!
