  • Can that Russian twist also be preformed with the help of a dumbbell or a medicine ball? Or is that targeting on the wrong muscle group instead of the one the exercise focuses on?

  • @Satafly Sure I get all that I should have been more clear in my question, why is it important to breath in when the muscles contract and out when they relax?

  • @OliverWilby I think you have it backwards, you want to breath out as your muscles contract and in when you relax. To answer your question try doing a sit up while taking a deep breath, then try doing another while breathing out, you will be able to feel the difference.

  • @OliverWilby because it is important to give your muscles oxygen. By breathing correctly you will keep a steady blood flow, and oxygen will be delivered to your muscles. If you do not breath you will create an unwanted tension on your muscles, making whatever you are doing that much harder.

  • If you cant leave tape down on your floor the blue painters tape is easy to pull up. Its about $5 at any hardware store.

  • I wish you'd speed up the reps after demonstrating/explaining proper form. Granted this didn't include very many reps; I just want the teaching of the exercise condensed so I'm not spending so much time watching you do reps.

  • How Important is the breathing during the exercises? I am a swimmer so I understand how important breathing can be, I just wondered how important it is in these exercises and why?

  • Nice video's, these circuits make so much more sense to me than other video's that I've watched. Far more reasonable for my fitness level. (barring that crazy plyo-circuit craziness!)

    On another note, that star side plank is wayyy harder than I thought it would be, I'm gonna stick to the reach thrus for now. The Russian Twist is funny, I've never tried that before, took some getting used to the form for me. So far, the New Years core circuit has been my favorite and most fun to do.

  • Hey Trainer David when I do the star side planks I dont seem to have the str in my legs to stay on just my foot. I always drop to modified when I lift my other leg up. Any workouts I can do to help with that area?

    Also Love the videos. Still waiting on some good nutrional tips as well. :)

  • @SamDomTV I'm fit as well and sweat on every workout I've seen this guy do, being fit won't always help you avoid sweating, you will sweat no matter what. But exercise isn't about sweating, or the lack of, it's about getting stronger, better, faster. And that is the goal every person should have. The world would be a better place if everyone had that same mind set.

  • @CaptinCaruso Yea I find this useful. I do 15 mins of these circuits as warm up before I start the wieght lifting. And P90 wtf? 600$ videos? Are you serious?

  • I found that the best way for me to do this cycles is if I put the video on my iPod and follow along and run the video 3 or 4 times, just did it and I'm sweating so much

  • Star plank is something you REALLY need a good core to do.

    I don't think most people trying this will be able to do it. Actually, if they practiced your circuits every day from day 1, they might be able to. ;)
