ok so i downloaded a bunch of RE stuff and put them in my addons folder but they didn;t work. and i got some maps too. i used to be able to do this no problem but it has been so long. and every tut i watch someone is getting wepons. I dont care about weps. i have a toybox. i need a way for me to get NPC and maps. but i put the maps in the maps folder, and the other stuff in the addons folder and nothing worked.

Ok for all those who need a bit of help

1) go to your steam fold, thru program files to find the games you have installed

your Program files/Steam/Steamapps/Account name (eg Steve smith)/garrysmod/garrysmod.

take note you may have to create the addons folder.

Some one please help me! I bought Gmod via steam ( maybe thats the only way i don't know ) And then i played the game for a while, later i decided to uninstall it. So i did that, but steam kinda saves it and now i remembered i had Gmod so i decided to INSTALL it, but now i don't have all these files i only have garrys mod in steam and a shortcut on the desktop :O Someone please help me! Tell me what to do to get the files back like normal when i first got it.
