the reason why male lions dont hunt is because they are always seen by the prey because of their massive manes around their heads. yes male tiger is stronger than male lion but male lions have a heavier bite & jaw power. besides life on the african plane is more difficult than in the forests asia or siberia. male tigers just mate & leave looking out for their selves but the lion is a real father & protecter. so overall lion is the king.

Just so you know your wrong about the desert being less easy to hunt in then the jungle while the jungle is filled full of life it is largely small animals and bugs many of which are toxic. While many desserts excepting the Sahara are full of game and plants that are very delicious and easy kill the reason I know this is that I am doing studies on the Amazon rainforest tribes and I live in a dessert.
