why would the older wolves be separated into the "retired pack"?

As wolves grow older and weaker, they are vulnerable to testing by younger wolves. This natural process keeps the strongest surviving and leading the pack. Older wolves may disperse from a pack or become loners. In captivity, wolves cannot disperse, so managers need to be aware when testing becomes too intense or when physical weaknesses makes it difficult for older wolves to be compatible with a younger pack. When that decision is made, the older wolves will dispersed to the Retired Enclosure.

i think when shadow goes, aiden is going to be taking his spot as alpha, then denali will be sittin high and mighty too...hmm the pack dynamics are sure going to be intreasting to watch..i guess we just have to wait and see, but i hope aiden gets the spot!

why is it that people so much time and money on giving wolves a home and something to eat but the average homeless guy has no place to go...

because the average homeless guy is a drunk for starters, and anouther thing, the average homless guy didnt start out homeless, if he stopped throwing himself a pitty party and took hold of his life he wouldnt be some homeless and jobless. instead of begging for money they should be out there looking for a job, it sucks that economy is down and its hard to find a job, but its not impossible to find one yet. wolves dont take our money to waiste it on boose

I've thought about this and the reason we have so many homeless is because of corporations all or nothing policy...you either work 40 hrs per week and one saturday per month of overtime or you are fired...with corporations, it's all or nothing and that's the problem

I love Aidan and Denali! I miss Lakota, but at least she got to see Aidan and Denali before she went home. I love Wolves.  Go IWC!
