  • That driver has some nerves and hopefulle a good (life)insurance! Thanks for sharing. Great piece of machinery.

  • Hell, you guys made my day! Fantistic driving at tremendous speed!

  • This is some fine driving. One of my most loved Ferrari's and what a glorious sound when that engine is running up in the rev range. Great video...

  • Superbe vidéo.. La voiture est en quel type de pneus ? A voir la vidéo ça glisse tellement peu que je pense qu'elle est en slick, avec une sévère préparation du châssis... Suis je dans le vrai ? Merci

  • please tell me there is a roll bar above you. If not your crazy and so is your co-driver. Great driving heart pumping, very quick.

  • not sure id want to be passenger?! allthough amazeing soundtrack, wouldnt mind keeping eye on pending doom,

i guess a case of disengage brain an go..

ive had a few jobs, which entailed that mindset,,

atleast here,in danger of being excited to death,,as apose to bored to death..!!

  • Great video, absolutely love this. Perhaps set the camera lower or to the side next time so the mirror doesn't block the roadview.

  • i know in rally u need mirrors...was only wishful thinkinga!still loved the video

  • finally not a pussy at the steering wheel of a classic car!!!!THANK U SO MUCH !EPIC!where im from rally stages looks like this..Remove the mirror and its more than perfect

  • @76sanyika

The tour de France is a 2000 km rally with a dozen road stages and track events. The mirror is not optional

  • @76sanyika Well actually if you think that you are the pussy here....

  • Excellent drive! I love how the keys serve as a lateral g-force indicator.

  • Next time, remove the rearview mirror.

  • 2 people are stupid they have no sense what so ever

  • So fucking nice...

  • great video - thanks

She seems to handle beautifully too - very very smooth

  • The driver seems to be the great Jean-Claude Andruet.

  • not at all but thank you for the compliment

  • Oh man, wonderfull car + great driving, you got big balls! I would never dare to drive such a car so hard - crushing it would devastate me!

  • come to targa tasmania

  • God Bless the driver /owner and who ever for taking the time to post this AWESOME and Incredibly exciting short film.... BRAVO !!!!

  • Amazing video. 250 GT SWB is really the greater car ever ! And it's not only for the fantastic sound ! Congrats !

  • That's balsy. Driving a legendary car like the 250 with a legendary price tag that hard and those speeds.

  • Luverly!

I don't know how many times I have watched this!

The right car, in the right place, making the right noises...

  • It's my all time favorite car and seeing it driven as it should be is a rare occasion. Thanks for sharing!

  • Please compare that sound to a nice Peugeot 604 V6 with maserati Engine!!!

    Please enter

    Peugeot 604 V6 Ti Vue intérieure 2

into the search field of youtube!!

  • I little bog on that start there! Very fun to watch this! *GREAT* engine note!

  • WOW WOW WEE ! Thank you ..Thank you, thank you for posting this INCREDIBLE AWESOME FANTASTIC video ....... Well Done ... 10 BIG stars

The driving was sweet... the car even sweeter....... the visual stimulation was off the charts.. simply incredible....

I wish I could shake the hand of the person who owns the car .. the person who drove.. the navigator .. and the wonderful person who took the time to post this GEM of a short film..... BRAVO ! Well done.. indeed !

  • GRANDIOSE!

  • great to see one of the great classics being what it is and doing what it's supposed to do, rather than being some posh 'investment' with snarky commentators. enzo would be proud of that!!!

  • That, gentle friends, is what an automobile sounds like. All others are but pale echoes...

  • Sounds beautiful.....

  • look at the ratio of the steering

  • Very beautiful!! Great driving too! Congratulations for your paticipatipation in a sportcar event with such a classic ferrari and for showing it to us!!!!

  • Couillu le driver...respect !!!

  • GPS lol??

  • amazing footage. brilliant driving. breathtaking car.

  • Is that not the greatest noise in the world ?

  • Magnifique voiture great song

  • Great footage, the mirror though is annoying

  • @Alexandros1972P amen to the mirror, why did they put the damn camera up above driver's eyelevel. still, great vid.

  • @wkjohnston I think its above the drivers eye level so he can see out the rear view mirror if he needs to. kinda doesn't need to see back there but just in case.

  • i think i died and went to heaven. then about 5 minutes later regained consciousness..

  • very nice soundtrack but not far from the 3.0 V6 Arese Alfa engine.

  • Someone should cut the mirror.

But anyway a great video. @ charles5448: perfect Tip!!

  • sounds awesome! Great vid - thanks

  • Such a wonderful noise! Surely the most wonderful car in the world... Perhaps not quite as fast as the GTO but in my eyes, far more attractive and 99% of the performance. I might get mocked for this But i'm suprised just how similar the 3.0 V6 in my Alfa 75 sounds at full song..

  • That sound is addictive, it is so beautiful. there is no other car that can come close.

  • sounds 1000x better in headphones

  • Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Amazing sound.

  • MUSIC GUYS, MUSIC!

  • If you're talking about adding music to this video, no thanks. If you're referring to the delicious melody coming from the engine, then I agree wholeheartedly.

  • I was talking about that wonderful prancing horse engine.

The best music that man can ever made.

  • This is the most amazing car ever made , by miles. It's gorgeous, rare, powerful and sounds like nothing else. I can't believe that anyone is brave enough to take one out for a joyride like this guy did. Those must have been the most exciting 5 minutes of his life!

  • Vehicles are made to be driven, not to sit in some assclowns garage to never see the light of day... let alone never be on the roads.

  • I cannot believe there are any of these cars left.. God Bless this guy for bringing it out and showing what it is truely made for, but sometimes you just need to restrain in order to preserve for future generations, so they will know what true sports cars are.

  • Great car

  • He is mauling it!!! Beautiful car. I cant believe its a 1960's engine/chassis.

  • beautiful machine, brings back memories! my father owned a 250 SWB ferrari for many years, it had done only 15,000 miles from new and was totally orginal until he sold it to eric clapton about 8 years ago who completely restored it when it wasnt even necessary!

  • i love it..

    Respect for the 250 SWB

  • "WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME!!!" sould not be on this page, since the car & sound is nice (very) well worth the time

  • should, I misspelled that

  • Wonderful, What a sound!!! beautiful!!!

    Thank you!!!

  • thank you, absolutely worthy. A piece of history. Great driving and good luck.

  • oh my god a peace of heaven on wheels

  • The most beautiful car out there in my humble opinion. I would sell my soul to the devil for a 250GT SWB...

  • OK the sound has ruined it for us mere mortals with obtainable cars.

    Very nice.

    Cheers

  • Pure, sweet, mechanical music. Fantastic car, fantastic driving, that motor really sings!

  • AMAZING AND MESMERIZING.

Congrats to the owner for:having good taste and a pair of balls made of steel.

  • Wonderful car, wonderful video - thanks!

  • The worlds' most beautiful car - hands down.

Who is lucky enough to own one of the 36?!

  • there's more than 36. Ferrari built about 165 250 SWB actually.

but there were 36 250 GTOs.

    great video!

  • Bianco Avorio (ivory) is the color the car had when it left the factory in 1959. It was the usual red when I bought it but I put it back to its original color

  • Dude you can really drive. those shifts are impeccable. and your heel toe down shift technique is perfect. I'm in awe, u must be a professional.

  • Respect! That car is reaaly alive! Wonderful driving ...

  • Bravo!!!!

  • We could do without the Rear Veiw Mirror, Mr. Cameraman..

One really SHOULD pay attention to whats in the veiw finder.

Every new generation of photographers, cinematographer, have had to learn this...

What the hell do they teach in those classes??

    J.C.

  • Thank you for the fascinating comment. Mr. Cameraman is the owner and driver of the car and must have failed cinema classes in college.

  • You are in good company. I once criticized DP for wind noise in one of his On Board motorcycle laps of Laguna Seca.....now we are great friends and I hope his dp1 will one day break Stefan Bellof's 6:11 second lap of The Ring.

Your SWB is a great car. I love the 330P4's I saw win Daytona 1-2-3 in 1967,the last of the curvacious racing cars inthe spirit of the D-Types et all....everything became rooling doorstops soon after.....

    jcarroll330P4@

  • @J2MSaigon ahahahah tres bien!!! : )

  • Unbelievable.

  • Nice driving and beautiful car!! but man, if i had that car, i will not risk driving it like that, i will remove the house roof and put it in my bedroom!! but then thinking again, ferrari were always built to race!!! Keep it up and respect the car.

  • what a beauty! respect and thx:)

  • 250gtswb is the most underappreciated car. everyone likes that 250gto too much. the gt is the pinnacle of motoring in my opinion cos it represents passion and no nonsense approach, just like ur driving.......well done.

although id imagine all those carbies would need replacing fairly often not to mention any small dent repairs on each of the hand beaten panels. is urs the road version or competizione? i heard the alloys in the race version dont age well?

  • Awesome, Great to see someone with balls really hustle such a rare and expensive car, The engine just sings! Are they bth wearing just headsets and no head protection?

  • Wearing an open-face helmet, FIA approved. Not suicidal...

  • Absolutely the best thing I've seen on YouTube. Good to see a 250 driven hard. If you're in Sussex, UK, you should pop down to Goodwood, your car would be very well received.

  • No doubt my all time favorite design ferrari ...the proportions are just about perfect lovely car in every way !

  • Please, please post some videos of the outside of this beautiful car while its being driven!

  • Thanks.

So another question, if you want :-)

I know it's not that kind of courtesy question, but...Safety misures?

  • what do you mean safety measures? how safe is it?

  • Yes , has it roll-bars for exemple?

You know, racing a '60s car is not like racing a today one for safety....

    Thanks for your kindness.

  • as safe as a 1960 car can be: retrofitted rool bars, harness and fire safety. But you really don't want to have a bad crash with this. very limited protection

  • Very good driver. Good to know that wonderful car is in such good hands. Congratulations.

  • ohh what a engine noise! that is a real pleasure to listen to i want one! :)

  • Just a question, 'cause you're here...

Is it difficult to drive? I see some understeer.

Is the car sincere or nervous?

    Thanks.

  • The SWB is actually incredibly neutral and a real pleasure to drive. the most striking feature is the stearing which is jus natural, just like an extension of your arms.

  • As written above, respect.

    And thanks for sharing J2Msaigon.

  • I stand corrected. At least it was by an owner, you have a beutiful car sir, and it's nice to see you driving it how it should be driven.

  • Sorry smokinscott but this is not accurate. The SWB was launched in 1959 (mine on this video was the second ever built) and produced at roughly 160 units, half of which were competition models. They are called 250 GT berlinetta passo corto (short wheel base). The GTO came later, was a competition evolution of the SWB and is much more rare (39 built). Enzo Ferrari claimed the GTO was only part of the 250 GT SWB series (of which many were produced) as his justification for the GTO's homologation

  • Porsche I think you should have another look at your facts mate SWB's are by far and away more valuable than GTO's as there were less built.

They are the greatest of all GTO's

  • Not quite $10 million but definitely over a million or 2. The GTO's went for around $10 million give or take, SWB's are less $ but I think to be the better looking car.

  • RESPECT!!!

  • well, this IS what the car was MADE for... a ferrari that's gathering dust in a garage (or, god forbid, used for 'countryside touring'), now _thats_ a shame !

  • Pretty ballsy rallying a $10M car.
