I recall playing the demo for this game, and me and my cousin we just kept trying to get first... We worked our tails off... and FINALLY WE DID IT!

Then I bought the game. I loved it.

This song makes me nostalgic. Only Ridge racer game I liked though... none of the others really grabbed me like this one did.

I no longer own any Playstation systems (I'm on xbox these days) but back when i had the PS1 this was the one game that I can remember playing every single day. Actually, i rented a copy from blockbuster and never returned it, lol. It was that good of a game. Along with Gran Turismo 2, this was the best racer on any PS system. Great tracks, amazing music, the cars and of course Reiko Nagase. Love live Ridge Racer Type 4!

Omg man this brings back so many memories. Ridge racer has been my favorite racing game for some time. Its always fast paced and not too realistic to be fun, I just wish they could spring for real cars. The soundtrack has always been a monster and this song is no exception. Although a lack of cutscenes, the intros never dissapoint. All-in-all, Ridge racer is the best racing game series out. I have yet to be dissapointed by a single RR title.

what ridge racer 4 did was it beaten GT2 to a pulp at that time in terms of graphics. It was not arcadey and drifty as much as the new ridge racers but i liked the arcade feel with a light-hearted atmosphere.
