Oil made from fish. Smells like fish, taste like fish. The mother of my best friend in elementary school use to rub her scalp with the crap before she went to school. I felt so sorry Abby, smelling like a fish everyday.
Castor oil isn't fish oil. It's made from the castor bean. It is a laxative. It is tasteless, odorless and clear, however it is thick and would be sort of like eating a spoonful of Vaseline slightly melted. It's REALLY hard to swallow because of the thick, oily texture. It was a standard remedy for a child who didn't feel well -constipation was blamed for many an ailment including colds, tummy aches, etc.
@friendsfamilyaccount The castor bean is like the gangster of the bean family...the oil will clean you out, and the skin will kill you. I don't even know why we even bother with it anymore! lol
