I love Micheal Mann's direction style. Even though Miami Vice was boring at least it looked terrific.

Well the costumes are pretty laughable, but I like the immediacy of a Micheal Mann film. He does film it like its an on scene journalist instead of with sweeping edits and CGI. I personally find keeping things simple and filming it realistically makes it more realistic and feel less like an overblown Hollywood movie. That's probably why it felt like a fan-film.

Yes it is cast wise, but I still maintain Michael Mann brings his A game even if the producers don't. He made Tom Cruise look good in Collateral (not easy to do) and made one of my favorite movies Last on the Mohicans.

I was wondering when there would be a fan trailer for Mafia. Not bad if I do say so myself. But what made you want to use the theme song to "The Untouchables" (besides the fact that you wanted to create a 30's-40's vibe).

You could've added more dialogue, maybe some sound effects (look for Designer Sound FX (that has plenty of trailer noises there), and practiced with Adobe After Effects (you can make some serious titles with killer effects).

Then again, you've been around 3 years now.
