the theme of the music sounds very familiar. I think they used it in Quidam, but I'm not sure. In any case, I absolutely love this act! Brute strength mingled with graceful, effortless movements. I'm astounded!
this is called main à main, this is the more static style of it, there are very few samples on the net of it, the more rapid and acrobatic main à main is more popular.
I cannot believe this. I've watched it so many times and it still amazes me. Who in the world thought this up and then actually thought it would be physically possible. aweiorfjfjfjafhjkjasil;gujior
I am at a lost for words are these two even human. well it is said that if all the muscles in the human body communicated and worked together a person would be able to pick up a car. Maybe they have found a way to defy science and figured out how to do so. simply stunning
they worked with jim henson on the dark crystal and i believe also the laberinth also i,v heard they train from the age of five my boss is an avid fan and has seen them all over the world so i,ll verify and let you know lol
This is my favorite Cirque De Soleil performance. I would love to see this live, as it IS 100% genuine and real. Amazing what the human body is capable of! I love how these two play with gravity. It will remain a dream of mine to participate in a moving sculpture act. These two artists have such wonderful strength, flexibility, grace, and balance. Bravo!
My friend and I want to learn how to do this. He's a gymnast and I am a wrestler. Any schools in NYC that teach this. I never saw anything that captured my attention like this.
Not only is this an incredible example of balance and flexibilty, but the show of brute strength is as well. I'm not convinced they're not androids. One of the coolest things I've ever seen. Thanks for the post, chicabuena.
I completely agree with you! It amazes me how slowly they move from one figure to the other, it belies great strenght! It was one of the acts which impressed me the most while watching Quidam (not that all the acts didn't (read "blowed away"))
Yves Décoste and Marie-Lauree Mesnage are the names of the artists.

Just so people know this is a guy and a girl not two guys doing the act. A lot of people seem to think it is two guys which it is not.
