@DreyX102 Yes they an break skin. As for a type of cards, I can't say there is a type that you should use, regular bicycle cards should do, but anything that are like them would work, it would be really hard to get the wrong of cards.

@DreyX102 bicycle cards are usually the best then most all other card brands. but they are expensive, and if you throw cards like me, then they usually arnt worth it. cards bend and tear after the first throw so be sure to have alot. also, you dont even have to use cards, you can use pretty much any kind of chip, or cracker, such as dorritos or a wheat thin, although they arnt very accurate, they are still fun to throw and they still hurt a lot.

The way you hold it doesnt really matter, The biggest key is to hold it with as little grip pressure so the motion of your hand going forward and your slight wrist motion sends the card out of your hand by itself. I hold the way you say it doesnt really work. I can throw a card hard enough to have scared my friends when I hit them with them. I have also thrown them a good distance, around 50 feet or more.
