Rotaskoping with photoshop, frame by frame is normaly a good way of doing it so i expect they did it that way...

Your red guy has a LOT better technique. He really looks like he's going for it. Watch the arms and especially the elbows, which should be moving to allow the arms to extend fully. Your blue guy doesn't look like he's actually trying to hit his opponent. (Which, to be sure, he isn't. But you do have to fake it on camera. =) )

nice battle but most of the times it looks like both of you were tryign to hit your sabesr together at the same time... instead of defence or trying to hit the other. but you guys kinda pick it up and off. next time i suggest get eahother real madd and get some swords and try to hit eachother with them and record that. then put the cg over the swords.
