@smsjgoku It does have a line tool, but filling in colors is different in Illustrator then it is in Paint. Pen tool can act as a line tool too.

not the best, but it is pretty good. although, as you said, I suppose it might just be deformed because of your monitor. but sonic's muzzle looks kinda wierd, like a fat person might. and the spikes should be more drooping. although you might be going for old skool sonic, since he did kinda look rather different.

You should also try hand-drawing, it might be a little bit harder/easier depending on the person.. But in the end it looks a little bit better... Because when you use a pencil... You have no restrictions :)

so when you make a flash, you go into illustrator to create the characters, then bring the drawing into flash? when you want to edit facial expressions, do you go back into illustrator and draw the new facial expression or do you use flash for that kind of editing? Just curious because I'm trying to experiment using illustrator with flash.

Dude, I suck big time, this is too good... I never thought about making such animations, it seems like too much work, but I just started soo I guess that maybe I'll reconsider that. Combining flash and photoshop, I always drew everything in flash, but this looks preety cool. Gonna google some tuts. maybe that will help the case. Again, amazing work :-).

I've never used illustrator, but I can tell you have lol. Are you creating the different parts (i.e. the eyes, ears, browline) as different layers? Which tool lets you stretch and reshape objects like that?

The animated background was one I made myself, the program to use animated wallpaper is called Dreamscene. VLC player can do it for free but your have to look it up yourself. The bar on top is called RocketDock, google it, its free.
