Yes thanks for your honesty, it happens to the best of us - I've been dry now for 1 week (and I know that is not long) - but I went out last night - no drinking and when it was time to go home I thought I dont have to worry about driving cos I'm sober - it was such a relief - it was such a relief to be in control again.
its funny al the negative comments on all alcoholics pages. I think its a defense mechanism so you can deny your own problem. You wouldnt of come here if there wanst a problem. why watch this if your not having a problem.
I did the same exact thing alcohol cost me my career in the Navy and it has cost me jobs. After I turned 30, I asked Jesus Christ to help me and come into my life ever since then I have been sober and cigarette free my life is now filled with more clarity and purpose and my food taste better LOL! Don't give up there is room at the cross Thank You Jesus ! I have been set free.
Thanx for sharing your experience, i had the same experience but not as bad as yours. i was only in hospital for a one week detox. im 2 months dry now, but for anyone going through the same thing, it is hard but it does get better, the hardest thing i find is filling the empty space in your life that alcohol once filled.
@lostdaltonian01 I recently started drinking again and I didn't get an allergic reaction. I had a half pint of vodka. I was confused why I didn't. The next day I started again and after 2 hours or so I started having the same reaction. I am not Asian or taking any medication. I can literally say I can have a tablespoon of beer and get a reaction. Heart racing, head throbbing, blood pressure behind my head..shallow breathing, vomiting. I don't know what can be the problem.
i was in the same situation, the violence bit in the hospital is called hepatic encephalopathy. where the brain is virtually swimining in alcohol, you didnt mention the final diagnosis,i assume he has cirrhosis, because i bloody did, pain in the ass! but yeah it was pretty frightening 4 years now 27yrs old and still kicking!
what a fantastic testimony about how bad things can get. You just can't really believe that it will happen to you. But this guy tells it how it really is. Thanks for posting. I'm sure this will inspire a lot of people.
haven't touched a drop in 20 years people you can do it...God will help you!
