  • OMG, I love Laura as Mary! She's definitely awesome! Practically perfect in every way for the role! =)

  • God, i miss being in this!! its true, the dance isn't that hard.....i guess..... lol :)

  • i love laura. i can't wait till she comes to broadway.

  • I have a photo with every single one, and a book with autographs of them I´ve got them backstage with an insider friend.

  • lucky you!

I met the UK tour cast twice and also the Broadway cast last August!

I love meeting theatre stars and celebrities, I met Aled Jones the other week and he was amazing!

  • i prefer ashleys fake british....it sounds more precise and enunciated

  • gavin lee are british too and laura have a sweet voice is the best *3*

  • how come the scenes differnt from the Broadway one?

  • Broadway and London plays differ according to

the likes and dislikes of the American or European tastes. Some endings and dance

numbers are added or eliminated depending on the producer and the Country.

  • mary poppins to adom

  • is this london?

    the scene looks different

  • it is London yes

  • i think

    laura michelle kelly

    its the best mary poppins

    on the musicals

    woohoo

  • she is better than ashley on bw

  • well, i think that ashley is good

  • mee too

  • in my opinion I think Ashley Brown is better, but it might just be because were related

  • how are you related to her?

she is amazing and such a down to earth gal :)

  • No, it's not you she is better, I saw her in it this Thursday on New Years Eve, my sisters and I were blow away by Ashley she is AH-mazing... the best Mary on Broadway and the original

  • @Jojo72897 ok good, i'm not the only one who feels that way :)

  • Laura sings rather diferently here than she does on the CD

  • yes she does your right

  • you spelled the title wrong ! it's :

    SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS !

sorry it's will really anyoy me lol haha no offence x

  • is it true this is out on dvd soon? my pal jessie says the bw show will be out on dvd next august with a cd?

  • really, jessie told me otherwise

    lol, jk

  • sorry?

  • Jane BAnks= Carrie Fletcher [Tom Fletcher from Mcfly's sister]

    xx

  • I love laura Michelle Kelly as Mary Poppins But i saw Caroline Sheen at the Birmingham Hippodrome and think shes good 2 this is my favorite song thanks for posting this video is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

  • omg!! is this the 1 with Caroline Sheen init?? gosh! she is soooo gorgeous!! jealous!!

  • no this isint caroline sheen this is Laura Michalle Kelly doing the show in 2002 in London....

but i do agree it looks a bit like her

  • she did it in 2004 - 2005

  • omg! i've always wanted to be in a brodway show! i want to be in this one!

  • I can spell it ready supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!~ha ha ha

  • i can say from personal experience that the dance is so much fun. i met the 2 from the left in front row (not including marry) and we were taught this dance. sooo fun.

  • My god I love the lettering part!

any idea what Bert says to Jane and Michael when they steal his dance-thing?

  • never clocks?

    don't know^^

  • Oh, I looked it up-He says "Clever Clogs" Wtf is a clog? he cant mean the shoe!

  • Clever Clogs is a saying in England for someone who is clever but they r accusing them of showing off

    xx

  • No wonder they changed it to "Smarty Pants" in the Broadway version, since it basicly means the same thing.

  • Really? I saw it on Broadway last year, and they didn't change it. Only I thought he called them Clever Frogs. (That's what it sounded like to me, anyway.) Bert is such a great character! Pity he never admitted to Mary that he loved her.

  • clever cloggs

  • he says clever clogs

  • i can do the lettering dance too :) it's no where near as hard as it looks lol

  • you should check out my newer version of this song.

  • I taught this song to my 4th graders last summer. They can hardly spell kindness or battery, but they could spell this word! I watched the video on the Mary Poppins website like a million times to learn the choreography and then taught it to them. They could sing, spell and do the choreography It was great!

  • its not as hard as it looks ive found!!!!!

  • the dance they do for supercal is so easy to do, I might make a step by step guide video to show people how to do it with the lettering part etc!

  • god... I hate musical, really do, but it's still superfun to watch it, those actors and singers and dancer, or a combination of those, are brilliant.

  • well if u like all of those then u dont hate musicals

  • I like what the actors are doing, that's very hard, you must be very talented to do those things, but I don't like the superhappy and fake character of most musicals themselves. It's fun to watch a little bit extreme talent in the persons who are on stage, but a whole musical makes me deppresive

  • oo lol see I love musicals but there not for everyone but I understand what u mean

  • no its quite easy to do the lettering dance from supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, I easily taught myself how to do it aswell as the other bits etc, its fun!

  • I can do the dance to this now with all the letters etc and I can spell it of by heart!

  • Wow good job then!

  • you can buy this on DVD now on ebay for £25 pounds or you can bid for it and wait four days I think! I might bid but who ever had filmed it has done it illegally!

    give your views?

  • the ochestra sound a little different than they do on the CD or maybee its just the echo in the theatre?

  • That seems quite logical to me. This is 'live' and different every night. While recording the cd, they could do bad things over and over again...

  • Dude! I thought it was over, and they did it even faster than before!!! This show ROCKS!!!

  • The girl playing Jane is Carrie fletcher, Tom from mcflys sister :D

    xxx

  • Carrie Fletcher. :]

  • does anyone know where i can learn the dance to this?

  • errr if u go to the broadway place, they sell the programs for it and they show the moves. I went to the show. It was exellent!

  • ive learnt the (stephen mears) choegrafy to this song with all the positions for the letters etc, me mate was in the show with Lisa O Hare so he gave me some tips and beilive me its hard!!!

  • good

  • this scenic design looks poor , compare it to the bway production

  • I don't think so. Furthermore, it's less colourfull so it gives a more adult and serious touch

  • it cant be that way cuz theyre at a candy store so it has to be colorful and fun

  • The Broadway version is not very good because Mary Poppins (Ashley Brown) sounds horrible unlike a proper english one like Laura Michelle Kelly

  • well shes a southern belle. Duhr its not really so easy to get a london accent perfect. They are british so obviously they don't have to go through voice classes like Ashley had to do.

  • if it is based on a british woman it should be british why couldnt Laura Michelle Kelly to do it. American actors should does something that isnt as difficult and Ashley Brown looks ugly anyway. Julie Andrews is ENGLISH NOT AMERICAN get that into your thick skull!!!

  • yea duhr but we're iN AMERICA!!!!! they're trying their best. Ashley Brown is like an idol. She was awesome when i saw her. Do you think its so easy to get that english accent when you're american uh no. She had to work hard maybe something you should try.

  • if it is based on an english woman it should be english because it is set in britian. ok then why is Gavin Lee got the part in broadway and he is english. So why couldnt they get an English Mary Poppins!!!!!

  • you obviously don't have a brain. This is America. They rarely have british actors down here. Its hard to have a british actor transfer here. Gavin was up to it. It gives more americans to play british role. No one there is british the ensemble aren't british. The children aren't british. hello its america not england.

  • yes but if it is an english based show it should stay in britain. Who do you think sings better Laura Michelle kelly or Ashley Brown. I think LMK because she has much more singing talent

  • well i think lmk is better becase shes british. HELLO they have like millions of american shows. You should start realizing that we do trans atlantic swaps okay. Ashley Brown is lik a wonderful mary poppins. Maybe u should get your ears rechecked ok. It doesn't matter if its a british show.

  • u do put up a good arguement but i think the british performance is better.

  • well yea but ashley is a great mary poppins.

  • I agree with you, it can't be easy and I personally think that Ashley Brown is uttery the best best best ever Mary Poppins EVER compared to Scarlett Strallen over in london!!!

  • no this is LMK in the LONDON cast not the NEW YORK cast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have just said its the American cast!!! AND CAN YOU AND 95650 STOP ARGUING.....ITS NOT VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can u admit that LMK is a better singer than Ashley Brown.

  • I agree with you, it can't be easy and I personally think that Ashley Brown is uttery the best best best ever Mary Poppins EVER compared to Scarlett Strallen over in london!!!

  • I agree with you on that side sportc410 and with 95650, on the other. It isn't easy to learn an accent that well. Dick Van Dyke's accent was dreadful, but that's because he's American and it is hard. Some people complained that he forced it. Eddie Izzard had took fun of it aswell.

  • Although some credit must be given to its creators for undertaking the difficult task of reinventing what was, in short, practically perfect to begin with, I find the work as a whole to be, in standard Mackintosh fashion, big, dark, cold, and unapproachable. In going "back" to Traver's source material, they brought with them the authors many flaws, flaws which took Walt Disney over 30years to fix. Straying from the path disney paved, the show became dark, disjointed, and rather bizarre.

  • Very good... didnt like the letter screen at the end but otherwise great.

  • I did not understand. This is london or broadway?

  • This is London :P

    Laura & Gavin

  • Ah yes. I didn't watch the whole video. I didn't see the camera zoom in on her face at the beginning. Yeah, thats definatly Laura.

  • Is that Lisa O'Hare?

  • Oh never mind. Its Ashley. I didn't have my volume up.

  • No this is Laura

  • Really, I thought it was Ashley

  • umm when i did a musicaltheatre dance to this it was a way different song and it was way better. i mean the way the song went.

  • what was that mary poppins said after bert done all the lettering of the word for the first time?

  • and who's that girl playing jane?

  • She didn't say anything..

Only when the kids have finished the 'lettering'.. bert crawls up and whispers "Clever clogs..."

  • yeah i think so

  • as micheal?

  • is that harry stott?

  • bert and the ensemble spell it all out again, yeah

  • thanks. oh, hi "littlemissgorgeous01", it's markbundles.

  • when the curtain (sp?) is lowered at the end....is that the "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" encore?

  • its in london as well. is this the london one or teh broadway one?

  • london. the "mary" in this video is laura michelle kelly.

  • Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!!!!!! Best Disney's broadway play!!!

  • This video is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
