I really wanted to like this car. It has a very nice sporty interior with some very good looking seats. The wheel size looks about right and the whole thing seems tight and cozy. If they would have put a turbo 4 cylinder or something, or maybe just make this thing RWD, I would be much more convinced. Honda, just drop the "Hybrid" act, it's crap and not exciting.

the European version has a red engine start button where the American "electric mirror adjustment " is, next to the Sport Normal and Econ modes. the Euro version also comes with a manual 6 speed as stock, and has 2 back seats

@AnonymoussourceL0L Its not always the "watered down crap" the problem is that Non-american car manufacturers only import "what sells in america" for example go to the US nissan website and compare it to the UK/German/french counterpart. the contrary is also true for example Ford, there is no ford F150, taurus, or even mustang here. But there you also dont have the ford Mondeo an the fiesta was originally a euro car only. also your Mercedes, BMW, and Audi are probably 90% gas here their diesel

@desertfox2020 They're good if all you care about is gas mileage. They do just slightly better than a normal auto transmission. But for people who want to have even a little fun when they drive should never buy a CVT. It makes the car feel so automated and without personality. Yes, CVTs usually come with a "manual mode" where it simulates a manual transmission. But if you listen "and feel" how it shifts, its just not the same as a true geared transmission. The shifts are slow and dull.

I very much enjoy driving and hearing the engine, feeling the shifts, etc, but I can see why it makes sense in a car like this which is very utilitarian and built for one purpose, MPGs. They can keep it out of my truck though, thank you very much. Speaking of which, is it true CVTs can slip under load and that's why trucks and SUVs don't use them?

@desertfox2020 CVTs slipping is actually something i was wondering. I'm not sure if car CVTs are the same as those you see in a snomobile which uses a belt. I think they use the same concept though so i guess as time goes on these transmissions could slip. I really don't see this design having heavy duty potential so as you said thats probably why we don't see them in trucks. The Nissan Murano does use a CVT and i guess you could consider that an "SUV" even though you dont see them towing stuff

@raptor750r Thanks. I was pretty much referring to larger SUVs that have the same towing potential as a light duty pickup. Unfortunately I think we are going to see alot more CVTs in the future and alot less normal automatics. Soon, if you want to feel shifting you'll need to drive a manual.

It's an interesting design, the interior can even be called innovative and agreeable. The exterior ain't pretty though, due to its grossly disproportionate, ungainly appearance. It looks like the designers started with a regular car, which they punched it in the nose, and then proceeded to cut the rear with a battleaxe or a samurai sword. (Banzai!) Quite a cruel treatment, if you ask me. ☺
